Im actualy intirgued by the concept of mashing together two completely different songs together and find out how the results turn out. So, what in your opinon are songs taht sound good mashed up that maybe you thought wouldnt have? im gonna have to go with my favorite example of Eminems "without me" mashed together with Star Wars "Imperial March" theme.

How 'bout some J-Rock mixed with some US Hip Hop?
This is from the description:

Ho-kago Tea Time - Listen!!
Kanye West - Diamonds from Sierra Leone
(which samples Shirley Bassey - Diamonds Are Forever)

the two drum beats are from:
Jurassic 5 - W.O.E. Is Me (World of Entertainment)
Jay-Z ft. Alicia Keys - Empire State of Mind

I think it works pretty well. That and Mio is just an awesome vocalist.
Hmm, that's more than two songs. Oh well, thought I would share anyway.

I really like this mash up for some reason.

#13 Posted by McSmunions (609 posts) -

i think you can mash anything up with the Beatles and have it sound awesome. not that NIN is some shitty band.
it's been mentioned on the site before but the Wu-Tang x Beatles mix was great.

#14 Posted by beej (1675 posts) -
@McSmunions: Yeah, although dangermouse's grey album is a real mixed bag.
#15 Posted by iam3green (14368 posts) -

search for sonic and bel-air. it sounds good with most of the sounds from sonic with bel-air.

I feel really weird every time I watch this video but I find it oddly catchy. I think what really makes the remix good is how the two videos were mixed for comedic effect.

P.S. I didn't find the video myself it was forwarded to me so don't ask how I came upon this animal.

Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" and Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London".

Somebody should really mix those into a single song.

BAM!

#22 Posted by Kyreo (4683 posts) -

The Too Late to Apologize bit is a little quiet and should've been edited better but the two songs sound really good together.  Have a listen.

"Come Closer Together" is a classic.

I used to listen to a bunch of crazy mash-ups.  Can't remember half of them now.

One of the greatest mash-ups ever.  No surprise, Big L is one of the best ever.

Slow and ambient you've been warned.

And now for something completely different.

I happen to think this is one of the best Ive ever heard. The thing is it isn't very far from the original underOATH song.

You know what they say, Eurythmics goes with everything.

Let's start with some hippytihop:

Take one part of classic, add hint of another classic, mix carefully and you get awesomesauce:

Bonus round. Let's play some poker on someones humps:

I think these are nice.
