UFC 135 - Jones or Rampage
I am praying for an upset. I think Jon Jones has a ton of skills and heart but I am a huge Rampage fan.
I think Jones will win. Once he gets Rampage on his back I doubt there's much Rampage will be able to do. Funny thing is, I like Rampage as a fighter, but I think he's a bit of a jerk. I'm probably cheering for Jones, but I'm cool with either winning. Nothing wrong with a loss for Jones to make him even hungrier next time. He's young.
I think rampage plays the jerk, personally I'm always against the new up and comers against the old dogs. I hope rampage wins.
@iam3green: Saturday, Sept 24 at 2:45/5:45pm PT/ET are the prelims on facebook, followed by spike tv, then ppv.
Eh, hopefully Page knocks him the fuck out...it'd be awesome if he schooled him on the ground, though. He's been talking about his improved ground game a lot :D hopefully he'll get past Jones' wrestling and land one of his bombs :P
CHECK THE KICKS, PAGE, CHECK THE KICKS D:<
+ throw them, I guess.
If I were to put money on it, it'd be on Jones, here's hoping Jackson wins though :D
Like others in this thread I like Rampage and I'm typically a fan of the underdog, but if I was being forced to put my life's savings on this... I'd put it on Bones.

@AiurFlux: Kos would love to see this post :D you realise it's all an act with him right?
Oh I know that he loves to play the guy that people love to hate. And he's very well at it as well, since I hate the guy and I've never even met him.
But I also think that some of their real personalities shine through as well though. I've actually met Georges St. Pierre once. It was just a quick hello, huge fan, good luck in your next fight kind of deal. But the guy really is incredibly nice. He autographed a shirt I was wearing and I didn't even ask for an autograph. I mean it isn't like pro wrestling where the meanest guy is actually the nicest guy since it isn't scripted. But they do put on some drama to put asses in the seats.

Jon Jones will win because GSP says so and that guy knows MMA like nobody's business.
GSP doesn't know squat about fighting though. Rampage is a brawler, never discount a brawler, all it will take is one clean shot.
@AiurFlux: The GSP fight was a good example of Kos breaking character after he loss the match, he hypes up the fights by wearing the black glove because he know's it'll sell pay per views. Boxer's have been doing it for years, the only guy I think may be genuine about this stuff is Chael Sonnen, but that could be cause he's just so good at it.

“After Brian Stann and I do business, Dana and I will sit down like we always do. We'll review a whole bunch of Strikeforce contracts. I imagine my paper airplane collection will get a lot bigger if you guys know what I mean and then we'll decide if I will be granting Anderson Silva a shot at my championship.”
Chael Sonnen is king!
It will be Jones, though I'm rooting for Rampage. I've been watching Jones come up since his first fights, and have been incredibly impressed. But his head is getting inflated, and he's starting to act like a bit of an ass, most notably by getting upset and refusing to sign toy UFC belts for fans because he "earned his belt, and all they did was go out and buy theirs (paraphrasing)." He's got insane potential, but I think he needs a humbling loss that doesn't come from 12 to 6 elbow disqualification. Force him to rethink his attitude, and work on his weaker skill set aside from his spinning Guile elbow. He hasn't been taxed in any meaningful way because no one can hang inside of his reach. A lot of his hand work and ground game is sloppy, but the attrition he brings makes that a moot point against most fighters. However, Rampage has a chin on him like no other, so it'll be interesting to see if he can press through his reach and take the fight to Jones.
enjoy watching mma but i know fuck all about it. just going to with the one i'm more familiar with.
hint: it's rampage.
Like a lot of other people, I think Jones will beat Rampage easily, but I don't want it to happen. I can't like the guy and his fighting style seems like it would leave him open to getting KO'd from a Rampage BRH. Pride never die.

jones all the way
only thing rampage has over him is strength
rampage has no kicks, no jitsu, and no take down
he's an average boxer who likes to slam people
this fight is going make him go on an angry drive again
Rampage has no kicks? lol he trained in Muay Thai for a good while he was being everyone's ass in Pride. He has amazing kicks but he never uses him because he's more comfortable with boxing.
Anyway, I found this whole event to be disappointing. All the fights weren't all that exciting.

you're right. but it seems like such a bad decision for him not to use kicks(look at his fight with forrest)
the fights weren't the most exciting and it hurt my heart to see hughes knocked out again especially by koscheck
