This topic is about that murder that we keep hearing about in Canada, and as how awful and sickening that was, this is about something else. Im looking through Facebook and I see dozens of groups supporting this guy? What the hell? People calling him an inspiration and shit, here's a quote. "he is inspirational, nice, and very, very good looking, I have seen the video over 20 times. I do think that was him, and I liked it. He is inspirational because he is not afraid to be himself.” and when asked about the family of the guy killed, she says "I couldn’t care less about that dude. I think that if anyone is a victim in this case, it is Luka … because of all the bullying he had to endure before the murder,” if you don't know what happened, this guy killed a Chinese university student about a month ago and mailed his body parts around, he also made a video of himself killing the guy, dismembering him, letting his dog chew on parts of the body, masturbated with the severed arm, and had sex with the torso. Yet he has tons of supporters calling him an inspiration, not even anonymously... On Facebook.. The fuck?
Ugh, people sicken me.

I find it hard to believe anyone is actually supporting him, do you have any proof of this?
I was only partially aware of this, kept hearing snippits of people talking about it but didnt know it was this. God thats pretty awful, but then think about all the folk on death row that have groupies, i was watching something a few weeks ago where a rapist on death row had all these young female groupies who wanted to be his victims, the world is pretty messed up.
I have no idea what the fuck you are talking about, and I think I'm better off for it. I'm going to pretend I never read this, and go on with my life. Yeah. Sounds like a plan. Walking away now.
People are fucked. There is no getting around that. I didn't know about all of the other stuff around the murder (like the filming and such). Call me a dick but give me some capital punishment for fucking abominations like this. Jesus Christ
Are you sure those people aren't trying to make a really bad joke? Also, any links to these insane comments?
People also thought Hitler/Charles Manson were an inspiration. This is nothing new.
This.
This isn't trolling at all. Lots of these celebrity lunatics gather a following. Richard Ramirez, aka the Night Stalker, who was one of the most notorious serial rapist/killers in American history, famously had throngs of blushing, giggling groupies attending his trial like he was some kind of rock star. One of them married him while he was in prison. Why do they do this? I don't have the faintest fucking idea.
I'd recommend you to stop visiting news sites and such, especially some of them which thrive of such stories.
I know, its interesting and fascinating to read some cases of criminals and their crimes, I know because I read those stories too.
But its also bad for your mood, and general view on people.
It happens, all the time, ignore it if it doesn't affect you personally is what I say.
Well... I have absolutely no context on what you're talking about- but...

This is the kind of trolling I do not support whatsoever. At least I sincerely hope it's trolling. If not then I'd feel more comfortable just not knowing that such people exist.. I will now return to my cocoon on fluffy love bunnies and ignorance (and comfort).
Given that it's Facebook- it most likely isn't trolling. Those people are probably dead serious- or at least some of them are. Facebook is a place where internet anonymity doesn't play as large of a role as it usually does- as there are (usually) actual individuals whose images are being affected here. And communication is all about the images we present. >_>
Some of them think they're hilarious, some are actually mentally insane, and the rest are probably a mix of the two.
I wouldn't bother thinking about it.
The world is filled with humans doing horrific things to each other. The internet brings it all to your home too, making the world seem a lot more worse off than it actually is. Which is why I've made it a personal mission of my own to read or watch something positive on a daily basis. Because somehow our brains are wired to look for danger and thus "bad news" are more interesting to our reptilian brains. But the world is filled with so much amazing positive things, but it takes a little bit more effort and avoidance of regular news sources often times.

Reminds me of this radiolab show: http://www.radiolab.org/2010/dec/14/i-need-a-hero/ <-- listening to this will counter all the negativity from hearing about people like those mentioned in this topic.
Take it from me: don't try to add logic to this. The more you try to make sense of why this shit happens and why these people are the way they are, the more it'll drive you insane.
Accept it and move on. It's literally the only choice we've got.
Wait, I don't understand. Did he kill the university student for bullying him? Surely people can't be serious about supporting him even if he was. Is there any link to the news story or a name so I can go check myself?

You mind taking a screencap of these Facebook people, and obviously blacking out their names?
I've heard people on Twitter and Facebook losing their job or even going to jail for hateful remarks.
Fuck blacking out the names. They posted it on Facebook, that's effectively a public forum and would be accessible with some work. No need to black out the names.
But rather than proving stuff to us and posting the pictures at all, just send a message to these people explaining that what they said is disgusting and that you are unfriending them on Facebook because of that. If they come back with repentance, maybe consider adding them back, but that's fucked up and you shouldn't associate with those people.
I can almost assuredly say that they aren't joking its insane what people make public. I read an article awhile back about a guy who on the regular touted how huge a kiddie porn collection he had on Facebook. Well, didn't take long for the FBI to take notice and they arrested the fucker. I do have to say this story I was ignorant of until well...now but it is most assuredly one of the more fucked up murders I've heard about in recent while. I usually dont pay attention to the news for my own sanity though. Its just fucking depressing.
With enough exposure anyone can be adored, no matter what they're famous/infamous for. Serial killers get married to their fans like clockwork.
And really - You can't believe someone would fawn over a murderer because they are nuts, but you don't have trouble believing that someone would gruesomely murder someone? Why is the far more disturbing action more palatable?

I am from Montreal ant the facebook page in suport of that monster just made the news, there is 1400+ who liked the page so far.
And its not the only page.
Facebook should realy shut that down.
If you scroll down the page the group was made long before the murder took place. By looking at the page, it seems more people are pissed that he killed a kitten last year.
Obsession over serial killers is certainly an odd one.
Being from Canada as well, I've heard a lot about this story. But I never heard anything about the Facebook support. That is just fucking terrifying. Even if they are just trolling, is that really anything to troll about?
