This is what we get for having a government full of middle aged men who don't understand the world we live in.

Welcome to the State comrades.

It is genuinely amazing how backwards these people that control our countries are. Censorship isn't a tool to counter bad parenting and violent tendencies and yet this is what our government want to do with it.

I'm interested to know how people feel about this and how we got to this in the first place.

You're kind of right, but you're also being overly simplistic.

A politician doing an overzealous public relations move. Shock horror.

Wait. Why the fuck would he block anorexia and eating disorder websites?

Would that not mean that they would block sites on how to, you know, stop it?

Everyone knows it's the internet that causes those things. Along with violence, extreme ideas, suicide, interest in alcohol, smoking, and sex. Before the internet these things did not exist.

They understand just fine. Playing stupid and pandering to idiots to get what you want is standard politics.

Calling them stupid blinds you to real motive. Which is usually money.
