Wait do you mean that prisoners don’t get to vote or is it just wanted felons?
Convicted felons lose their right to vote following their release from prison. However, the length of time that a felon is prohibited from voting varies from state to state. Most states allow felons to vote after a certain amount of time has passed. Kentucky and Virginia are the only states that currently impose a lifetime ban. Every state aside from Maine and Vermont also prevents felons from voting while they're in prison.
So basically, if you are a convicted felon, you are looking at a period of years at the very least before you'd be allowed back in a voting booth.
