Just curious. Last year Hurricane Sandy derailed my costumed plans, and this year is looking terribly busy. I'll be lucky if I get to see the costumed zoo that lower Manhattan becomes in passing.

An impromptu drinking game, perhaps. Every time I see one of the costumes featured in the video, drink. Someone in one of the featured costumes with the voice of the guy, shot (and time to go home).

Also, I should have put a Giant Bomb vid marathon. I was also considering a Resident Evil game series marathon, but that would derail into self destruction.

Go to work. Not that it would make a difference anyway.

Such a dumb "holiday".

Close the curtains, turn off the lights, and pretend nobodies home.

Playing ac4

Probably watch some movies, or a horror-themed anime TV show or something. I don't usually get trick-or-treaters where I live, so I'll likely only see them when staff at the office bring their kids in for trick-or-treating around my department.

Sit at home and play non-horror video games, just like any other day. Halloween isn't appealing to me in the slightest.

Masterbaiting on Halloween? That sounds like a good plan. Im going to work while wearing a serious sam t-shirt

Combination of Horror movie marathon and Horror game marathon. This years movies still need to be researched, been lax in my preparation this year. So I might just watch all the Romero Zombie movies like I usually do every year around this time.

This years games are: Silent Hill 2.

Anyone got suggestions for horror movies? Namely anything that came out this year. I've yet to watch the Evil Dead Remake, so it's on the top of the theoretical pile.

I stumbled across two pretty good posts for Netflix-able horror:

I thought the Evil Dead remake was...mostly harmless. It knows the deck is stacked against it and goes in some weird directions. At least it tries.

For the Youtube horror crowd: Emilio Estevez learns the hard way about obsession over an impossibly hard arcade game.

Hey, it was the 80s! We were all jacked up on the cocaine and the punk rock!

I've been watching a different horror movie nearly each day this month. Also exclusively playing Resident Evil games, so living the Halloween dream.

Horror FlicksWere they any good?
Re-AnimatorSmart, funny, great practical gore effects. Jeffrey Combs creepily chews the scenery. It's got it all.
From Dusk Til Dawn 2Total garbage. Avoid at all costs.
Cabin in the WoodsClever twists. Good writing.
American Horror Story (First Season)Pilot seemed random, but all the pieces came together great over 12 episodes.
Interview With The VampireGreat locations and great acting from Brad Pitt, extra-homoerotic Tom Cruise, and a pubescent Kirsten Dunst
Cabinet of Dr. CaligariKind of underwhelming for such an influential film. Decent twist ending though.
White ZombieBela Lugosi wears big fake eyebrows and steals somebody's bride. An entirely white cast menace each other in Haiti. The 30's were weird.
John Carpenter's Pro-LifeLame execution of what could have been an awesomely taboo premise. Watch Carpenter's Cigarette Burns instead.

Well, I'll probably eat a shitload of candy that I'll buy from the store, but other than that I'll do what I normally do.

#15 Edited by TheManWithNoPlan (5803 posts) -

I'm gonna marathon horror movies and finally play some Amnesia A machine for pigs. Maybe I'll play Luigi's Dark Moon as a palette cleanser in between the spookyness.

#16 Posted by clumsyninja1 (817 posts) -

Take the girls for trick or treating and then as dressed as Batman play Arkham Origins...

Where's the "I have no idea" option?

#19 Posted by Everyones_A_Critic (6305 posts) -

I was supposed to go to this rave-meets-cirque-du-soleil thing at a local club but it got rescheduled. I'll end up at a party somewhere.

#20 Posted by LunarJetman (110 posts) -

Halloween isn't really much of a thing around here. The only Halloween related stuff I'll do is probably watch "Halloween themed" videos on Youtube.

#21 Edited by pyromagnestir (4327 posts) -

Where's the "I'm just going to treat it like a regular ass day." option? Which is to say I'll go to class, afterwards I'll be home alone, sitting in the same spot I'm sitting now, maybe I'll eat some candy or maybe I won't, maybe I'll watch some GB videos, maybe I'll play a game, maybe I'll do some homework, or maybe I'll do absolutely nothing. Whatever I do eventually I'll crawl into bed, assume the fetal position, and cry until I fall asleep.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

I've been watching a whole lot of horror movies these past couple of weeks, so I'll continue doing so until Halloween. I'll also probably buy A Machine for Pigs for next weekend.

#24 Edited by CaLe (4020 posts) -

I will probably wake up and drink some coffee, check some websites, study, eat, watch some non-halloween related videos, then sleep. If I'm feeling frisky I might even turn on a radio.

#25 Edited by JadeGL (912 posts) -

I took the day off, so probably carving my pumpkin early in the day. Then, either playing horror games in between giving out candy to kids or watching horror movies in between giving candy out to kids. I have to man the door while my husband gets to play Mr. Antisocial and get lost in GTA V online. That's okay, it's our deal, I do social butterfly stuff, he doesn't. :)

The great thing about this year is we got a huge bag of good candy like Snickers, Skittles, etc and we have a low number of kids that come to our neighborhood. So more candy for us... Like 100 pieces out of a 150 bag... :)

I have none really, because I am not cool enough to have friends near where I live.

I would like to hit up a party though.

#27 Posted by zombiepenguin9 (534 posts) -

I'm not really into Halloween or forced candy distribution, so I'll probably play some games with the volume on low and the lights out so neighborhood kids won't know I'm home.

#28 Posted by AlexW00d (6305 posts) -

I am always surprised that people actually treat Hallowe'en as a legitimate national holiday, but whatever, people have fun.

#29 Edited by captain_clayman (3325 posts) -

It might be too late to get a costume, but getting blitzed and playing horror games or watching horror movies and eating candy is the overall plan.

#30 Posted by Clonedzero (4200 posts) -

With all those options you'd think "I dont have any plans" would be one of them....

#31 Posted by I_Stay_Puft (3575 posts) -

Sit in the dark corner of my room and cry myself to sleep as I eat all the fun size snicker bars.

#32 Posted by falserelic (5468 posts) -

I'm currently Playing Dead Island: Riptide.

It's not a huge improvement over the first by any means, but I'm still finding enjoyment out of it. There's alot of stuff to do, and aswome ways to murder the undead.

#33 Edited by Scrawnto (2456 posts) -

I scheduled some vacation time that week, but I don't really have Halloween plans. I don't have enough friends in the area for a party.

#34 Posted by Butano (1746 posts) -

One of my coworkers is gonna be having a party at his place, so I'll be heading there. Ordered my Robocop mask the other day and will be showing up as this guy.

Go to university classes, if anyone from my colleagues is up for it we might go out for a few drinks, I might dress up and act all silly. Also for a country that doesnt celebrate Halloween it's really big here.

#43 Edited by medacris (666 posts) -

@galacticpunt: Re-Animator is a good pick. An underrated one, too. Mad scientists were always my favorite horror trope.

If you like musicals, go for Rocky Horror Picture Show, Little Shop of Horrors, Repo! The Genetic Opera, and maybe Sweeney Todd (I'm only familiar with the Tim Burton version, but I'm sure someone's filmed the stage play, for those people who dislike Tim Burton/the fact that the film cut some songs out).

Ghostbusters, Shaun of The Dead, and Zombieland are great if you want comedy with your monsters. (I'm assuming you've seen RHPS and Ghostbusters already, though.)

If you like animated film, The Nightmare Before Christmas is great (again, assuming you've already seen it), as are Coraline and Paranorman.

Plus, I can't seem to find my bunny suit anywhere. :(
