Zero. None.

Too many to count.  I can say that my first ever concert was Incubus right around their Morning View release.

Same, duder. This was right around the time I was even old enough to handle the frenzy of concerts and such. I love seeing Incubus live. They always put on a really good show. Any time I get the chance to, I'll see them. Probably seen them like five times since the Morning View tour.

Mostly things from Montreal's music scene (Pawa up first, radio radio, malajube etc...)

#8 Posted by j_meyer_13 (387 posts) -

Rush, Blue Oyster Cult, and a couple small local bands... hopefully going to see Coheed & Cambria next month, maybe Rush again this summer...

#9 Posted by NathHaw (2799 posts) -

Korn, Zombie, Dave Mathews Band, Nickel Creek, Asleep at the Wheel, Matchbox Twenty, and a bunch of minor bands.

#10 Posted by hinderk (690 posts) -

Rise Against, Brand New, Arctic Monkeys and Jonathan Coulton.

#11 Posted by Hot_Karl (3309 posts) -

Not too many. I worked a couple of concerts for the local OC music scene.
I was working the county fair & got VIP tickets to the Weird Al concert. That was badass.
I saw AC/DC in concert last year, and they put on a hell of a show.
I've also met The Fratellis when they had an album-release party at the Virgin Record Store (R.I.P.). They played a 5 song set as well, but I'm not sure if that counts as a concert or not.

#12 Posted by Bucketdeth (8041 posts) -

Megadeth and Slayer are the only two I need to name, it was awesome.

Man I used to love going to The Virgin Record store. Used to go to the one in Norwich, England all the time. Then they were taken over by some other company and their CD selection got crappy. HMV is still around though, that place is decent.

Not many bands come to my country, but I have seen a few while I was overseas
Porcupine Tree
Dream Theater
Symphony X
Alice In Chains (Layne Staley-less)

 Liquid Tension Experiment

#16 Posted by rentfn (1283 posts) -

Barenaked Ladies, Ben Folds, Dave Matthews Band, Guster, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Korn, Metallica, System of a Down, N.E.R.D., I really like concerts.

#17 Posted by SilentCommando (579 posts) -

I don't see too many concerts. The only one I saw is AC/DC.

#18 Posted by tooPrime (345 posts) -

I saw Steely Dan this summer and they were fantastic.

#19 Posted by jonnyboy (2920 posts) -

Fucking loads. Easily the best were Tool with Mastodon in support, and Ozzy with BLS.

#20 Posted by Mmmslash (2169 posts) -

I've been to a bajillion shows. I even have some pictures of myself hanging out with some of them, backstage/on the bus/at the city water Hot Dog stand.
So, my list is pretty long.

I've sort of become a concert junkie in the last two years. I love the atmosphere at shows and the memories they leave.

#23 Posted by nick_verissimo (1397 posts) -

I've been too a ton of concerts, but probably the best band I've seen live was Silversun Pickups in Ottawa this past October.  They just assault you with layers of  rich sound rather then just walls of loudness crashing against your ears.  Honestly, hearing them play live was something different to experience and really made me a bigger fan of there's.

#24 Posted by Subject2Change (2966 posts) -

Deftones, Godsmack, Puddle of Mudd when I was like 13-14. After that it took a while for me to get back into going to shows, I can't stand seated venues but will go for bands that I want to see badly.
Recently it's been New Found Glory, Saves The Day, Hellogoodbye, Fireworks, Taking Back Sunday, Weezer, Blink 182, Rise Against, Rancid, Billy Talent, Amon Amarth, Sonic Syndicate, Millencolin, Matt & Kim.
Soon; Alexisonfire, Cute is What We Aim For.

Too many to list, so I'll just say the top 5:

  1. Brightblack Morning Light - Saw them last week on acid. Most amazing/scary night of my life.
  2. Air - Until last week this was my favourite show of all time. Flawless performance.
  3. DJ Shadow - Seen him twice. Once solo and the other with Cut Chemist for The Hard Sell tour.
  4. Yeasayer - Went to see Yeasayer but walked away a fan of the supporting act, Tame Impala. There was some dick head dancing in front of me that kinda ruined this gig for me.
  5. Battles - Another one that kinda got ruined, only this time because I had a shit view of the band. Nevertheless they were pretty good.

Last I saw was Metallica at the ACC in Toronto back in the fall, but I've also seen Rush, Matthew Good,  Reel Big Fish, and a couple others as well. I don't go to many concerts but I love the experience.
Also, @creamypies:  Props for going to a Zebrahead show. I saw them with Reel Big Fish!

#28 Posted by BeachThunder (12276 posts) -

Several hundred, but I haven't seen many bands recently though.

#29 Posted by Skald (4369 posts) -

It was a good show. He's a cool guy.

  • Morrissey (x3)
  • Band of Horses
  • Tyler Ramsey
  • Wheatus
  • Reel Big Fish
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers
  • Dirty Pretty Things (Opened for the Red Hot Chili Peppers)
I'd go to more but I can't be bothered, too lazy. Never going to a stadium gig again, they're rubbish.
#32 Posted by LaszloKovacs (1189 posts) -

I've seen The Mountain Goats, Built to Spill and The Hold Steady. Plus openers and some bad local bands.
I wanted to see Deer Tick next month but I'll be taking finals that week and have no ride.

#33 Posted by IzzyGraze (852 posts) -

Not sure. Osheaga music festival twice, Evolve music festival once, couple of festivals in town over the years (ex: Halifax pop explosion), and then just a mess of random shows. My favourite show would probably be Gogol Bordello at Osheaga or Shout out out out out at Evolve.

Agreed. Went to see Tegan and Sara recently and the security actually stopped people from dancing.

@OneKillWonder: How was (hed) P.E. live? I assume they were halfway decent given that you've seen them 5 times haha.

Trans Siberian Orchestra
Flogging Molly
All were pretty good.
