I thought it was REALLY awesome. I never read the comic, but I'm super excited to see what happens next.
What did you think of The Walking Dead?

" The only thing that sucks about it is the actor who played Morgan Jones did a really good job and I would like to see him back much sooner rather than later. "Yup. Dude stole it. I hope he shows up again. That girl with no crotch and legs was pretty badass, too.
It was effing great and definitely showed the caring hands that belong to Frank Darabont written all over it.
" I am sorry that this happened to you"
*shoots zombie in the face*
Really good but man the opening just irritated me. Like really? Everyone is going to desert the hospital and somehow forget that there was one patient left behind? Also that dude must have been out for a long ass time if everything went to shit when he woke up. Other than that, I have high hopes for this.

"Wasn't it the exact same deal in 28 Days Later? I didn't think of how implausible it seemed, rather I couldn't shake the thought "I've seen this before".
I loved it, my new weekly show. Also Gary Whitta said he was going to be in the episode but I didn't see him anywhere. Was he the guy in the farmhouse who killed himself or a random zombie?
" I loved it, my new weekly show."Don't get too invested, it's only a miniseries.
" @audiosnag said:Eh, fuck should be allowed, kinda ironic considering what was shown in tonight's episode. Oh well maybe it'll become so successful that they will let it go in the direction it needs to." @KaosAngel: Haha yeah I'm wondering how much of that stuff they're actually gonna show. I assumed not much but the first episode was pretty gory. "They said that as long as they don't say fuck they can do whatever they want. "
" @HandsomeDead: It's a miniseries this season but I doubt it is just going to be six episodes AMC sometimes does short runs for the first season of something. "Frank Darabont said season 2 is going to start production in February 2011 but AMC gave a statement of their own saying nothing has been confirmed yet.

"He said he was going to be pajama zombie, I looked for him too but couldn't find him. I think he was one of the random zombies during the night scene when they were peeping out the window
It was pretty incredible. The Woodbury stuff won't happen for a WHILE, since it seems like the first season might only go as far as the first volume or so. The whole prison thing will be really really interesting, and will definitely come off great on tv if it gets that far.
The Woodbury scenes would also be interesting to see how it gets treated if that gets there too. It was super brutal and intense, and I'm sure most of it wouldn't be allowed on tv.
Well,it doesn't come on Fox Crime until tonight,so I'll post my thoughts tomorrow, but it seems pretty good :)

" @Sacerdos87 said:All I'm saying is if they did use it the comic it would be more close to the material. A lot of scenes went by where you just see rick acting stunned instead of saying what was spoken. " @RE_Player92: it makes sense that they would think that. it doesn't make sense to write it on the wall. "It's dramatic effect.
First I'll say I'm a HUGE fan of the comics... Second I'll say if you haven't read them you should!
The Walking Dead isn't so much a zombie story as it is a character study of people who live in a world full of zombies. This will hopefully become more apparent as the series goes on. As with the first few issues of the comics, this isn't entirely apparent until they set the foundation of the series by putting you in the middle of this world.
For me, I'm not entirely sold on the series yet. Maybe I'm nitpicking, but a couple of the scenes where Rick was very upset, were a little much for me (as in, I didn't really buy into it). I think the actor has the potential, but he really needs to sell it, as Rick is really the central figure and driving force of this series. I'm not going to give up on it, as it was only the first episode and maybe I'll get over it. I think I really need to separate my love for the comic from watching this as well, as I don't know if it will be able to touch Kirkman's work. I really want this show to succeed though, because for those of you who haven't read the comic, there's some insanely intense shit that goes down!
Overall, I'm happy to have it though! If anything it was entertaining!
" The premiere was cool, but nothing earth-shattering. I got sort of a "28 days later" vibe from it, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I'll definitely give it another few episodes before I pass final judgment. "Yep, major similarities to 28 Days Later in that premiere.
" @Briguile said:If Frank Darabont wants a season 2 then it will probably happen. This is now available in all its 1080p hd glory on the zune marketplace, hit it up on your xbox for better everything :)." @HandsomeDead: It's a miniseries this season but I doubt it is just going to be six episodes AMC sometimes does short runs for the first season of something. I'm not a huge zombie film fan. I might have skipped over it if my roommate wasn't such a big fan of the comics.
With that being said, I feel this may be the best show I've seen in a while. And I don't mean that in a "Well, at least it's better than the other crap on TV" but that it's actually a really good show. It made me go grab the first volume of the comic from my roommate's shelf and start reading.
