What happened to this site????

theres barely anyone posting anymore??? WTF!! i wasnt here for like 2 weeks cause of college and i come back to this dead ass forum. 

It just died.

People go to school you know.

it's not dead at all this is just a quiet time.

I post, but nobody cares :(

In my opinion, it takes a while a website (specifically, a gaming website) to build a stable community. Key word: stable.  You have to imagine that people who are members here, are members at other websites, and post there too, which is time consuming. ALSO, some people (for some stupid reason) feel some kind of loyalty to the website they visit, and thus only go there for their gaming news and forum posting, even though it's basically all the same.. 

Giantbomb has only been going for only a few months now, so there is no need for everyone to get all worried. For as short sighted as the people on these forums are, I believe (or imagine, again) that the staff at Giantbomb has a more long-sighted view...

Between work and monitoring the Giant Bomb IRC channel, Hulk usually doesn't have all that much time or real desire to post most days.  But today has been slow.

we have to go to school we don't have as much free time to mess around and talk to people and complain and inform wait till the weekends or even a holiday vacation and it should go back up

I still manage to come on here as much as I can, but you know...school is a real time-consumer.

People who were off school/college/uni aren't any more. Its still busy later on.

I think it's work and stuff encroaching more than anything. And i'm unemployed, so i'm around all day!

There's a big difference between site popularity and forum popularity. I barely ever post in the forums any more, but I'm always checking up on GiantBomb for reviews, videos and articles. I would imagine quite a lot of members do similar. The site has only been online for 2 months, so if anything, it's doing great.

Excuse me for having a real life and responsibilities in the likes of school. I cannot spend my time in front of a computer screen 24/7 just to keep up with anything new and please you.

People have more important things to do than to sit and post on forums all day long.

GB isn't dead? Maybe it was a quiet time when you posted, but there's still plenty of posts going on all over the place. That, it self, is fairly shocking for such a new site. Over time, the site will get even more of a community, making it even better.

School maybe, but a lot of people still post in here

Things will get better once it isn't in beta. I like this site.

It's slow right now, but it should pick up soon. Like Shasam said, it's a pretty big accomplishment that this site is already as active as it is. Is it still in Beta?

Its so true, the forums have died off there seems to be no one posting at all. New topics are only by the dozen per day.
