What if Jeff was never fired because he never reviewed Kane and Linch?

#2 Posted by CL60 (16906 posts) -

I'd be on gamespot.

We wouldn't have another one of these "What if..." topics.

#7 Posted by Wolverine (4281 posts) -
@T0mF5: I'm not a fan of what if questions but I think everything worked out at the end of the day because this site is way better than gamespot because of how much freedom it gives it's users. I like the fact that we are able to edit pages and post our blog posts in the forums. This site just feels that it belongs to it's users and not a public company that only cares about money.

none of us wouldn't be posting on this thread, we would be on gamespot getting raped by their mods D:

That would be kind of sweet though.
#10 Posted by kajankua (273 posts) -

then i'd still be on gamespot

#11 Posted by mordukai (7150 posts) -

Then Jeff, Ryan, Brad, Vinny, Jason Ocampo and Alex Navarro would still be at game spot. Do they even have any reviewers left?

#12 Posted by Seedofpower (3928 posts) -

The world would be sucked into a black hole of despair and darkness. We would be throw into a universe that creates games that have nothing but stupid jokes, bad plots, and over done mechanics.

That's what would have happened if Jeff never got fired.

Also, I'll probally still be at gamespot watching their overplayed ads.

Not any good ones -_-'
#14 Posted by Sick_J0ke (170 posts) -

Gamespots not as good as it used to be. When Kasavin, Gerstmann, Davis, and a few others were there you actually had honest and good reviews. Now I see these new faces (sometimes they don't even show the person reviewing it anymore) and I see them praising games that are pure garbage.  Giant Bomb has a better layout and everything, most  importantly, if you don't like the reviews you can look at the user reviews and they'll be just as good if not better than the official reviews at Gamespot. Not to mention the mods here don't kick you off for the stupidest reasons.

Jeff would've probably quit anyway, but he'd travel the countryside with Ryan, Vinny, and Brad spreading peace through interpretive dance.

Then I would still be using, and enjoying gamespot. It was great in the "good ol' days".

#21 Posted by JeffGoldblum (3704 posts) -

I would hop in my DeLorean and force Jeff to review the game.

#22 Posted by The_A_Drain (3910 posts) -

He'd have been just as honest about something else, and thus, Giantbomb. The universe has a way of correcting itself.

#23 Posted by Daryl (1781 posts) -

Kane and Lynch would get a 9.0.

#24 Posted by Snail (8594 posts) -

Gamespot wouldn't suck.

#25 Posted by get2sammyb (6412 posts) -
@BiffMcBlumpkin: Ultimate win.
#26 Posted by Fallen189 (4980 posts) -

Nothing. It's just a website for games, one of a million.

#27 Posted by Serker (520 posts) -

Condemned 2: Bloodshot's Metacritic score would be a few points lower. DAMN YOU DESTRUCTOID!

#28 Posted by Demo (263 posts) -

I'd be dead, they helped me overcome suicide.

#29 Posted by OhdK (203 posts) -

People would be arguing on Gamespot, bitching about non-loading videos on Gamespot, and posting "what if" threads on Gamespot

#30 Edited by Azteck (7449 posts) -

Then reality as we know it would break and Jeff would get a kid identical to himself,
he would then give Kane & Lynch a bad review and create giant bomb.

Kudos to BiffMcBlumpkin for making this picture.

Then I wouldn't know about it.

#36 Posted by Pie (7078 posts) -

I wouldnt exist (this is the only site i have an account on)

Yeah. I would have never heard about GiantBomb through TalkRadar and that would still be the only games site I went to. I hate gamesradar's forums. It's full of assholes.
#40 Posted by Ben_H (3338 posts) -

No Luchadeer, no Quicklooks, NO ENDURANCE RUN, no Swedish candy sampling, no Snide, no hotdog toasters, no inside jokes, Gamespot would still be a threat...

The list goes on and on.

There would not be a decent gaming website to see game-reviews on.
