You have to consume less calories than you are burning off. How you achieve that is up to you. You either need to consume less calories or burn off more calories. And it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out how you do that.

1,000 Push ups a day should lose the belly fat. I'm not asking you do all this at once, just 100 every hour. >___>

Start running, maybe some push-ups and stuff like that.

You'll get better at running the more you do it. Start running small routes, and then expand.

Fastest way to burn calories is running , and weight training.  There is 3500 calories in a pound  of fat. If you dont want to lose muscle , the general rule is lose a pound to a pound and a half a week. Any more and your losing muscle as well. So if you eat 500 less calories than your maintenance calories (amount required to stay current weight) , that would be a pound a week.

Should also note running burns muscle as well. Best way to lose just fat , is low intense cardio , like walking , With proper diet. You can find lots of articles on Bodybuilding.com
here's a link to a body weight calculator as well. http://www.freedieting.com/tools/weight_loss_calculator.htm . theres different calculators off to the left for body fat % , BMI , calories burned and what not.

Hope this is a little helpful.

Have a well balanced diet (not necesarily starve urself) and excercise regularly. And as the above poster said, u have to lose more calories than u gain. Jogging short distances is a good start till u have enough stamina for longer treks. Sit-ups and crunches aint bad for the belly too (u can start growing abs while u lose the fat :P)

Get a job outside of an office.

I eat as much as i want, what i want, when i want.
Fortunately I work 10 hours a day in a workshop so i burn it all off.

So basically excercise. Anything you put in your body you have to burn off. If theres no fuel anyway your body will reach for the fat reserves.

Get off the internet!

If you are looking at losing just 5kg, then exercise (the big stuff) can be avoided.  I recently lost 10kg over 6 weeks without exercise.  It does however require self control:

Liquids - water only. Lots of it.
Breakfast - fresh fruit only.
Lunch - a salad with some diced steamed chicken breast.
Dinner - chilli/tomato pasta sauce and pasta, any vegetables you wish.
Snacks - any fruit, any time.

It worked for me and frankly, I never went hungry.  It is just fresh food only, nothing processed (except the pasta).  No dairy products.

Losing weight will only ever occur when your desire to lose weight is greater than your desire to eat the normal crap.

Don't eat as much, and do some running or something.

Thinking that you'll lose weight without really trying and without hard effort is folly

For me it's just a healthy diet (when I say that I don't mean actually diet, just a balanced assortment of food) with a bit of muscular training and quite a bit of cardio. It's better to eat more smaller meals than a few huge meals...I also think it's a good idea to stop eating at night (if you do that). Also depending on what you drink...that could be a lot of wasted calories too. People often forget that liquids count too.

Never starve yourself..that only Fudges with your metabolism...

Dude, I lost 45 pounds this summer. So I feel totally equiped to give people advice on how to play video games and lose weight
Honestly, you need to change your diet AND work out.  On the diet front, try replacing your normal snacks and meals with lower calorie foods, particularly high protein, low fat foods. I'm talking sliced turkey, or chicken. Eating high protein, low fat foods even as snacks to replace high carb/high fat foods can be very helpful at taking that body fat elsewhere!
I also stand running, but I do heartily recommenced you join a gym and try to work out every day. Just find a cardio machine that you DO like and try to work out for half an hour to 45 minutes with out a break. I found that I can spend an hour on Eliptical equipment and still get a solid workout(see: 45 pounds this summer).

Run a lottt......I  mean like non-stop. Cut down on the fatty stuff and only eat stuff with lots of protein..not only will you lost fat, but you will put on muscle too. You will start looking like a sprinter.

oh and looking at your profile picture, I would say that you might have to lose a little more than 5 kilos :)

Low carb diet combined with solid cardio and weightlifting. Weightlifting sounds like it'd be counter-productive because it actually adds weight, but in fact it raises the number of calories you burn at rest, making you a weight loss machine even when you're not working out. The objective is to cut fat, not necessarily weight, so it works very well.

And yeah, I'd know. I've lost about 200 pounds doing just that.

Well if you had eaten your breakfast then you would have been like 6'5'...all I am saying is that its not really advisable for teenagers to skip breakfast, then again not everyone is alike.

cut out some fatty foods just some. im saying if you eat  fast food every day do it like 3 times/  then find you a hill or something walk it like every day 3 times and then after a week increase by one.  little changes will effect your weight rather than going crazy and cutting out every carb and working out like 6 hours every day and stuff lol

Run a mile a day or buy a bike and ride it. Walking does not do much, you want to do an exercise that is hard to do. Also eat mostly protein and not much carbs.

some people can only do little things at first.  it depends on the situation.  and yes walking does alot especially when paired with diet changes.  most diets cant change drastically so little changes are best for some people.

Just remember, some ways are easier than others but there are no healthy and quick ways to make drastic changes to your body. Anything worth doing is worth working for its just whether or not it's really worth it to you right now.

Jump rope, do jumping jacks, dance or try some streaching exercises. The important thing is to star heating up your body through muscle friction, so that it can burn up the fat. Also cut down on some carbs and fryed foods for a while. I've never tried it but they say grape juice helps people who want to loose wait, that would be something to research into a bit.

Oh and if you can't stop eating or something, I was saw on one of those hottest bodies in hollywood E! Channel special that Matthew McCoughney washes his teeth like 5 times a day, they explained that after washing your teeth you don't get the feeling of wanting to eat anymore so that kinda plays a trick on your brain and helps you to stop eating in between meal.

Oh an of course, drink water throughout your day and stop with the sodas of the world, sodas have sugar which are turned into lipides (fat) inside your body. Water will also help you clean you body of excess toxins and helps produce sweat when exercising... which helps when burning fat.

Just walk a mile a day at a speed of 3.5-5.5 MPH.  The speed does not really change the amount of calories burned.  Someone who runs a mile and someone who just walks (fast) a mile will burn the same amount of calories with the runner burning a bit more but not much of a difference.  Distance and Time (time you spent walking/running) is what matters.

Diet doesn't really matter.  If you just want to lose weight.  I eat fast food 3-4 times a week and i'm close to being underweight.  If you exercise enough it doesn't really matter what you eat as far as weight goes.

The best thing to do when you want to loose from 3 - 8 kilos fast is exercise and cutting out sugar. I use to read good weight loss information on  at http://www.weightlossnerds.com I use to be 25 kilos overweight and was able to loose allot of it herbal diet pills and exercise but whatever you do don't buy phentermine this medication can be addictive and bad for you, it was prescribed to me for a few months and made me feel terrible. Oh and I agree with LilBEW a Wii fit will help with the exercise part.
