Seriously though, didn't feminism fight for the rights of women to decide their own destinies? Stripper or scientist, housewife or business tycoon, it's up to them to decide what they should be including how they choose to present themselves. Today's modern women struggle with self-identity just as they have for generations. Modern men do, too. Back on topic. I feel like he's not archaic but looking too broad. I would say a fair portion of the US girl/teen population does dress inappropriately but there are many out there who are fairly normal and dress as they should.

You can buy a spandex suit and give everybody an all too clear idea of what your package looks like, and I'm pretty sure you won't get arrested. Take it off, and you end up in jail. Same for women.

I kind of get where you are coming from Kaos - however it isn't really reserved exclusively for young American females. people of every age, race and gender are experiencing everything AND more at a much younger age, and probably doing them twice as veraciously as I ever did - due to the flow of information accessible being widened, i must admit that until my late teens i hadn't really thought about half of the stuff that the kids are exposing themselves to nowadays, i was more concerned with playing with my BB rifle and how to get out of doing homework.
But i guess even that isn't an appropriate judgement, im pretty sure - much like the young ladies you are describing in your post - there are people out there more than happy ton indulge and go along for the ride as far as exposure goes, but the internet, the TV , Media in general all have a role to play in installing a b elief of what is 'acceptable' amongst young people - even if one kid doesn't fall for the tween hollyoaks 'im 15 but look like a 21 year old porno star' Presentation, all it will take is a few kids around her/him to fall for it and impose pressure to join the 'norm' - humans are forever changing and society is evolving just as much as we are, throw in media, technology and everything else that comes along with it, and you get a sense that this is something that we have little control of outside of our own responsibilities (our kids, relatives, etc) moreover, it could just be the natural evolution of societies standards alongside what we present ourselves with.

I'm not against conservative people, but rather conservative people in power that then feel that their status and money mean their opinions are above anyone else. As for parties: both are guilty for this as they both are rather conservative in thinking, even if one is a half-step to the left.

I don't know if anyone knows about it but I was in shock when someone linked me to it with some college women. This got me thinking to what happened to my country and it's fair maidens. Dood, you are talking about women IN COLLEGE in your OP!!! What, as a parent, I'm supposed to keep complete control over my daughter? NO! She's a grown-up, and if she wants to make mistakes, that's her prerogative. If she was 16, then hell yes...I'm going to tell her "not dressing like that in my house", but it would simply be out of respect for the rules of the house. I would make sure that she understood that I'm not taking away any of her freedoms, but instead teaching her about respecting others' rules.
