What Is Your Favorite Disney Hand-Drawn Animated Film?
I thought of this question because I heard they were putting Beauty and the Beast in 3D, and I totally adore that film, so I think it's awesome that they are doing it.
I figured the second half of that sentence was going to be "they're going to ruin one of my favorite movies off all time in fucking 3D", I was surprised.
My favorite = The Lion King
I guess Pixar movies don't count as Disney? If they did I would pick Toy Story.

"Correct, I'm going for original hand-drawn, from with Disney animated movies, not Toy Story or anything like that (even though those movies are amazing).
As to the first part of your question, well, that may very well happen but I can't say for sure that it will.
It was a tough choice for me between Sword in the Stone and Emperor's New Groove.
On one hand, Sword in the Stone was my favorite movie all throughout my childhood. On the other hand, Emperor's New Groove is something that is fresh within the entirety of Disney's hand-imated library. It's quirky, unique, funny as Hell every time you watch it, and probably the only movie without Chris Farley that David Spade was worth a damn in.
In the end, though, I had to go with Sword in the Stone. It's tough to beat the whimsical banter between Archimedes and Merlin!
For me, Aladdin.
However, when I was a kid I watched this Mickey Mouse movie where Mickey was in a pitch dark place and he was getting water from a well. I think Hall of the Mountain King by Grieg was playing. It's been nagging me all my life, I can't remember what it was called...
Well, I usually say Aladdin, but lately I've been feelin' the first film from the resurgence era from Disney Animation Studios in the late 80s, The Little Mermaid. When I was in college, the studio had a pre-showing of the movie at my university. We were able to see the animated sequences, some of which was still in pencils, and hear the songs. It was at the moment, I knew it was going to be something special. And years later, I still am moved by Ariel's " Part of Your World." These days most animation in theaters is CG, which can be good (Pixar), very "meh" (endless Ice Age movies), or irritating as all hell (Madagascar). With the exception of some foreign films the 2D craft was looking like a thing of the past ( Ponyo from Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli ~ Aug 17th!), but this year Disney is making a comeback with a classic 2D musical motion picture called the Princess and the Frog.
