In particular, which is your favorite Ferrari? I need to know, very important research.

Personally I always gravitate towards MGs, but of the Ferrari's the 308 GT4. I mean look at that, it's beautiful and you really get the sense of it's low-weight sportiness.

God damn I want one of those.

A ripped in half Ferrari Enzo.

#3 Posted by MooseyMcMan (8564 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

Pfft, Ferrari. If it ain't American or German, I'm not interested!

So far as favorite car...I dunno, I don't know anything about cars. At least not beyond basic knowledge of operating them, and how engines and stuff work.

Good ol' 911
Ferrari Dino
#8 Posted by nintendoeats (5970 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

@PillClinton: Ooooh, those are both good choices. But the Dino...has a Fiat engine...and I know from playing much Forza 3 that it's about as good as my Civic...

But my god, it does have a great deal of personality doesn't it?

This very particular 1979 Mercury Zephyr:

#10 Posted by nintendoeats (5970 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

@sevenLiter: Why that one in particular?

#11 Posted by pweidman (1960 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago
This'll do.

2012 Ferrari 458 Spider. Buttony version :).

#12 Posted by monstersnsoup (79 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

Lancia Fulvia coupe. I love how tiny and Italian it is.

As for Ferrari's, it's a toss up between the 250 GTO and the F40 for me.

Twin turbo bigblock sleeper!!!!

Can't resist:

Good God View
#14 Posted by nintendoeats (5970 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

@monstersnsoup: I love that, totally know what you mean about small Italian cars.

#15 Posted by PillClinton (2916 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

@nintendoeats: Yup, tiny little V6, but a nice light body, and it just has that classic sexiness, and I felt like pullin' a little bit of a deep cut, admittedly.

Just look at that ass

There you go. I don't like popular sports car.

Favorite Ferrari: 599XX EVO

#18 Posted by xMP44x (2188 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago
Favorite Ferrari: 250 GTE, if it has to be stock. If it can be an owner-modified car, then the twin-turbo Enzo probably. I just think it's pretty cool that someone destroyed their Enzo and instead of letting it remain dead, they brought it back as a straight-line improvement over the original

Well I sure see a lot of Challengers where I live. Not to the same degree as Mustangs, but definitely quite a few.

Yeah GTR all the way

#27 Posted by ajamafalous (10617 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

My dad used to own a Corvette dealership/bodyshop so I've always had an affinity for them. He's owned something upwards of 50 different Corvettes in his lifetime.

I don't care about Ferraris because I know I'll never own one.

#28 Posted by the_OFFICIAL_jAPanese_teaBAG (4267 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

Im gonna be stereotypically Japanese and say a Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 (preferably Z-Tune)

#29 Posted by OldGuy (1226 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

I've never particularly cared for Ferrari's...

A Morgan however:

  Come to papa!
#30 Posted by Demoskinos (9041 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

The Batmobile is the correct answer to both questions.

#31 Edited by TopSteer (448 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

@OldGuy: Now you're talking, Morgans are awesome. My favorite would be the Aeromax or the Three-Wheeler.

To answer the actual question, my favorite car is the Fiat 500 and I've never really liked Ferrari but the 458 looks incredible.

#32 Posted by crusader8463 (13080 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

I can't tell cars apart from one another no matter how hard I try. They just all look the same to me. I never noticed this until the last month or so when I found myself in a position to need to start saving up for a vehicle and I started going out of my way to see what was out there that I might want.

#33 Edited by LD50 (353 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

I have never seen a 10 second Zephyr. Both scary and impressive.

That's 442 - 4 speed, 4 barrel carb, and 2 wheel drive? A classic.

The GT-R is a monster. Though it suffers from the issue that plagues all-wheel drive cars - weight. Too heavy.

However, all-wheel drive, twin turbo cars have the ability to "launch".

You have to take out your spare tire and lay the rear view mirrors against the door, but if you can imagine all four wheels pulling at once, with hundreds of horsepower...

That's a Skyline, that's sexy.

I'm a car nut.

Import:

My current ride is the 1985 Toyota Celica GT-S. It's a convertible with the 22RE. That's a fuel injected 2.4 liter 4 banger. I was thinking about slapping a turbo on it, but after watching Initial D, I've decided to go all engine NA. I'm a big toyota guy. My dad had an MR2 that they call the "poor mans Ferrari". It was. Mid engine rear wheel drive. The mid-engine is pretty sweet in it's own right. If I was in a slide, I could let go of the wheel and it would straighten itself out. A friend of mine had the AE86 Corolla. It was legendary. Mid 80's era Toyotas are hot. Then, of course, there was the twin sequential turbo Supras from the 90's (95 I think) that changed the game.

Domestic:

Nowadays, for the money, the Camero is your best bet. It lacks style and is built on the Cadillac platform (which is heavy as shit) but it has the necessary horsepower to make up for it. Plus they sound cool as hell. At a third of the price of the GT-R and Corvette of similar ilk, a steal.

Best Car Eva? 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge in Carousel Red:

That's style my friends.

I wouldn't drive a Ferrari, because Enzo himself stated that the cars they sell are only to further the Ferrari Racing sport and are not that great.

I'll have to look it up for the exact wording, but I assure you he said it.

@ajamafalous: yeah, the Corvette's an absolute classic, and Chevy's really kept improving that car phenomenally over the years. If I had 60 grand to drop on a car, I would seriously consider a Corvette Grand Sport. And for the car you get, $60k is insanely low. Gotta love Chevy's no bullshit pricing.

#35 Posted by Zella (478 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

The 458 for the Ferrari though I prefer Koenigsegg's Agera R. I also love the Gumpert cause it looks like it was designed by a 12 year old.

That is a pretty car. I would never disrespect your choice of vehicles. The ZR1 is what the Corvette is about, IMHO.

You could have two Cameros at the price of the Grand Sport, one to wreck and one to pimp.

Dodge Viper GTS 1996-2001 or the 2002 final edition of the GTS (pictured)

Blue and white or Silver and blue

I've never liked any generation's SRT10 or the SRT10 Coupe.

ZR1's the top dog for sure, but you'd have to be quite a bit wealthier to afford one of those over a GS, which is almost kind of practical if you make a good deal of money.

#40 Edited by LD50 (353 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

Granted, you have a very valid point. You like Corvettes, I would take a mortal blow for you in combat. I guess I'm letting my car nuttyness get in the way.

If you get around your friends, they'll be like "that car is awesome."

If you're around someone with a car, they'll be all "Is it a ZR1?". You'll be all "No, It's a..." And they'll be all "Time for IHOP."

Save your money, get a fully pimped Camero with ample HP at half the price and have money for gas left over.

Or you could get a fucking CRAZY import for that money that is supercar ready.

I think my favourite car is a Nissan GTR because there is a shot in hell that I could actually own one someday.

#42 Posted by Jadeskye (4324 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago
I'm English. I wouldn't dare say any other car.
#43 Posted by nintendoeats (5970 posts) - 9 months, 20 days ago

@Jadeskye: Did you know that the full name of McLaren is Vodafone McLaren Mercedes? HOW PROUD ARE YOU NOW!!!!????

Seriously though, it's an incredible piece of kit. If was going British I would probably go with a Caterham or a Morgan, but it is VERY hard to argue with that hypercar.

I'm such a car dork. That's the 67 Impala from what I see. I haven't watched Supernatural for a minute.

Sigh, <DORKMODEACTIVATED> the 62-64 Impala was the vehicle of choice for the Gangsta movement. Honestly, those are the best models.

The 71 Cuda from Phantasm what epic.
