Yesterday I saw Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and I loved these lines:

"History prefers legends to men. It prefers nobility to brutality, soaring speeches to quiet deeds. History remembers the battle, but forgets the blood."

"Some people think it be like it is, but it do." -Romney

"There was a place called Oak Valley Hospital for the mentally ill, people be walkin, jizzing out that place like it be a haunted spa. It's there where we ate those portable fish fries, it's there where the united states of a made me realize gay cops be real cops too." -Bill Clinton's opening statement in his first State of the union address.

"After we bought that dog, and just minutes after loading him up on my chimney, he died of impacted crumbs disease. So we went to buy a replacement guinea pig, good thing they're a lot more erotic than I thought." - Carl Sagan shortly before opening his mouth to sneeze.

I watched that Gandhi film the other day:

"There may be tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they may seem invincible, but in the end, they always fail."

Dunno why that particular line stuck with me when there are so many good ones.

That's like all deep and philosophical, man.

From Batman Forever:

Robin: Holy rusted metal, Batman!

Batman: Huh?

Robin: The ground, it's all metal. It's full of holes. You know, holey.

Batman: Oh.

Goddammit, Schumacher. And goddammit cable television for reminding me that Batman Forever is actually WORSE than I remembered. The only good thing to come out of this was eating dinner to the dulcet tones of Seal (aka, "Britain's Forgotten Treasure") and reminiscing on those halcyon days when I was young enough to go see Batman Forever in theaters and not caring how shitty it was, because Batman you guys. I was plenty old enough to have known better, but still... Batman. Sadly, "because Batman and fuck you" just isn't enough to make me turn a blind eye these days.

I've been around this block twice now. Looking for something. A clue. I've been looking for clues and something led me back here. Yeah. So here I am. It could have been me, the one who was at Ringo's place when the shit went down. Hey. I know how it is. I've been there. We've all done bad things. We've all had those guilty feelings in our heart. I'm going to take your brain out of your head and wash it and scrub it and make it clean. I don't know. But I'm going to have to settle this. First we're going to check the hole and see what we can find. We're going to get nice and wet, and you're going to spread your legs. Oh, that's good. So you know me. You know my reputation. Thirteen inches of tough load, I don't treat you gently. That's right. I'm Brock Landers. So I'm going to be nice. So I'm going to be nice. So I'm going to be nice, I'm going to ask you one more time. Where the fuck is Ringo?

I am a star. I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star. I am a big, bright, shining star. That's right.
