If somebody asked you right now, what would be your response to this question: "What's your favorite movie?"

My immediate answer is almost always Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Not only was it awesome in 1990 for Turtles fans, but it totally holds up in the humor and effects categories. It's forever awesome.

The movie that usually pops into my head first is Shawshank Redemption, though that's probably not the right answer.

Fight Club or Sin City I guess.

Die Hard With a Vengeance, even though in truth it is probably The Exorcist.

Apocalypto. I've only seen it once and that was 7 years ago, so I'm not sure if I'd maintain this upon seeing it again.

Back to the Future, though fuck, The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly is amazing every single time.

It's hard, because I feel weird naming any movie from the last decade, because I don't know whether I'll still like it 5 or 10 years after I initially saw it in theaters. I've rewatched the movies I just named, and they have withstood the passage of time (and my own maturation). But like, hey, that first Iron Man is pretty fucking fantastic too.

Face/Off. My love for that movie isn't even bullshit hipster irony. It's a genuinely good film.

The first thing that popped into my head was Man on Fire. Can't say that would actually hold up if I took some time to consider it but it was the first thing I thought of.

Watchmen Ultimate Cut (215 minutes - Director's Cut & the Black Freighter cartoon sections) - ending aside, pretty much a panel for panel adaption of the graphic novel. Or some Wes Anderson movie like Rushmore.

Kill Bill Vol. 1 (after you've seen Vol.2, and gotten the context behind everything)?

Close seconds with American History X, Inception, and Pulp Fiction.
