So, if you were watching T.V. before April's Fools Day, then you noticed people exaggerating the end of the world, which eventually never occurred. But it did bring up a preoccupation, people wanted their antivirus up to date and all that stuff.
Well, the conflicker didn't do anything after April’s fool’s day, but a week later it started moving. It downloaded some more malware, and then it started popping up an antivirus in the computers which were infected, which looked legit, and asked for a fee to uninstall the conflicker virus, which it doesn't. Anyways, that's what it really wants, to take the money out of the pockets of those who don't really understand computers. Another thing that was noticed was that it was stealing private info and making some spam.
Well, there you have it. It isn't really Armageddon; it just wants to take your money out of your pockets.
