What was/is your first car?
My first car was a 1999 Toyota Solara with 160,000 miles on it. It only cost $2,000 and got me from place to place. This is basically what it looked like http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/jc/images/99solara.jpg .
I bought a '98 GMC Jimmy SLS with 89,000 miles about a year and a half ago, which I sold, and I now have a 2006 Nissan Maxima SLE. And I couldn't be happier.
2002 Pontiac Sunfire. I bought it for $200 and the only thing it really needed was some work done on the brakes. I'm quite happy with it.
My first car was this sweet Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale (can't remember the year somewhere between '85-'90) that I picked up for 300 dollars from this bartender. It had well over 350,000 miles on it, but I still managed to get 3 years out of it, before I sold it to some dude for $200 as is. I definitely got my money's worth out of the thing.
Nothing like having a big stinky car as your first.
I got an '88 Taurus when I was seventeen for $2000. Piece of crap but it got me around. My '91 Cutlass has served me much better. Too bad they don't make Oldsmobiles anymore.
1986 Toyota Van, some models called the "Van Wagon". The engine was located under the front seat. It had no front end whatsoever, and driving it gave a great sense of speed even though it was as slow as shit. I was always sure that if I got in a bad head on collision in it I was going to have my legs cut off.
Man I loved that van. I'd still be driving it today, ten years later, if severe electrical problems hadn't put it out of commission.
Not a picture of mine, but pretty much looks the same.
I don't remember the exact year but it was a piece of shit, Superman blue, late 80's - early 90's Chevrolet Sprint.

'94 Renault Clio made to look like the 2.0L Williams special edition but really a 1.2L monster. Served me well for years till I rolled it and wrote it off, kept the gold alloys and put them on my company Astra.
