What woudl you do to someone who kills/rapes a loved one?

Suppose you and your gf/wife are out late at night after going out. You stop outside a restroom (like an outdoors restroom near a park), and when you come out you find that your loved one is being raped. Or another situation, you find a man in your house after he had killed all of your family members. You overpower him, and are able to tie him up and restrain him. What would you do to him? Would you find it justifiable to make him suffer, or would you just call the police? Keep in mind that this man will either go to prison for life, or die a peaceful death via lethal injection. Many families and friends of victims who had witnessed the execution of the wrongdoer felt that the murderer's quiet death was too lenient.

I personally would want the person to suffer. If he did something like killing or raping a loved one, then I would do horrible things to torture him, since he would deserve it. Like giving him anti-coagulants and shooting or stabbing him in the stomach so he bleeds to death, or cutting him open and treating the wounds with salt and vinegar, or cutting each of his joints off one by one. (By the way, I don't mean this to sound too gory or inhumane, just share what you would personally want to do to punish somebody in this situation. And I am NOT some sort of psychopath or anything.)

I would drop whatever im  doing ask the police if they had any leads steal said leads than hunt down the people and bring them to authorities

I have no idea how horrible it would feel if someone raped my girlfriend or if someone killed my family.  Obviously it'd feel very fucking horrible, but I don't see myself being able to torture a person or get revenge like that.  But who knows what something like that could do to a person's mind.

I'd call the police and have them deal with it. I know my loved one wouldn't  want me to end up in jail. And if I were to do what I would really want to, I would end up in jail for a long long time.

Well, here in Denmark the law system is a bunch of wussies, so we don't have death sentences and jail for life is nothing more than 16 years. So I'd probably take matters into my own hands, and cut the bastards balls off.

He wouldn't have many limbs left, that's for sure.

I doubt that I would kill him. If I had apprehended him, I'd just call the police. Who knows what could happen to me if I killed him.

Let's just say that the worse, most gruesome death(s) ever, is about to be beaten.

Hell, to say the least. I have no remorse for people who want to perform gruesome acts like murdering and raping people. They'd be experiencing my interpretation of hell, lets just say that.

They would not come out alive, either.

I personally wouldn't tie him up but I would beat the crap out of him until the Police go there.

Eye for an eye.  If you hurt or kill someone, you should be hurt or killed as a consequence.  Life is sacred...so if you intentionally kill someone you should be intentionally killed.
