How am I supposed to compare the three?

#5 Posted by Hockeymask27 (3683 posts) -

none of the above?

I'm not sure how you can compare Titanic to the other two, but regarding Braveheart and Gladiator, Gladiator comes out on top for me. It comes down to Ridley Scott vs. Mel Gibson, and Ridley Scott directs circles around crazy Mel. However, I enjoy both movies immensely.

@The_Laughing_Man: So right you are. Regardless, you all get the gist.

Dunno why you put titanic in there, but out of Braveheart, and Gladiator, I would easily go with Gladiator.

#12 Posted by Landon (4143 posts) -

Never seen any of those. I clicked Braveheart though, because I confused it with Dragonheart.

#13 Edited by LimpingFish (80 posts) -

I don't really like any of them. Only one features Kate Winslet's tits, though.

Seems like a valid reason to pick that one.

#14 Posted by Gabriel (4062 posts) -

Braveheart , Gladitor always seemed kinda cheesy and fake to me.

#15 Posted by MariachiMacabre (7096 posts) -

Titanic can't really be comparable to the other two. All three are good films, but out of the two comparable ones, I'd easily go with Gladiator because Mel seems like a closeted Nazi to me.

dude braveheart that scene when gibson has to fight his way out of the bank with just his tank top and a handful of knives dude

Gladiator had a black guy.

Is Braveheart worth watching? Mel Gibson is both a fantastic actor and director but after seeing Stewart Lee tearing the film apart, I don't know if I could really watch it seriously.

#19 Posted by Tireyo (6413 posts) -

I obviously need to watch the first two choices.

Braveheart was one of those 'good at the time, bad in retrospect' movies.

Out of that list I'd rather watch Titanic. It at least has the Zane train and Kate Winslet's breasts pre-Little Children and The Reader.

Titanic is a weird fit here dude.

I chose Braveheart because I think it is a better overall film but I like Gladiator a lot as well.

On that list, Gladiator.

#30 Posted by SMTDante89 (2581 posts) -

If I absolutely had to choose out of that list, I would easily pick Children of Men.

#31 Posted by Mr_Skeleton (5144 posts) -

The Dark Knight.

#32 Posted by Empirepaintball (1393 posts) -

Gladiator

#33 Posted by FireBurger (1479 posts) -

Braveheart. My favorite movie.

#34 Posted by Sitoxity (551 posts) -

Braveheart.

Even though it's historically innaccurate.

I'm Scottish, what'd you expect?

#35 Posted by crusader8463 (14422 posts) -

I liked watching them all the first time, and could never sitt hrough the entire movie again another time. So

D: All the above.

#36 Posted by EvilTwin (3324 posts) -

They were all highly regarded at the time, and all kind of cheesy in retrospect (though I never liked Titantic to begin with).

For my money I'd take Braveheart easily.  I still find it highly entertaining, and Gladiator just isn't as exciting after watching the Starz Spartacus series.

#37 Posted by NTM (7383 posts) -

I only chose these movies because they're huge when it comes to awards, not because they're my favorite, or because I thought they were great in comparisons.

#38 Posted by Bloodgraiv3 (2712 posts) -

Gladiator.
#39 Posted by Little_Socrates (5677 posts) -

Never saw Braveheart, personally like Gladiator a bit better than Titanic. Titanic is the better-produced film, though; Rome looks fucking NAKED in some of Gladiator's shots.

Which is the better film?

#41 Posted by buzz_clik (6975 posts) -

Gladiator had Oliver Reed acting from the grave. Instawin.

Galdiator is great, but I think Braveheart and Titanic are both significantly better

#43 Edited by Xdsk (268 posts) -

From your list i would have to pick Braveheart, as i can stand Joaquin Phoenix as Caesar in Gladiator.

This should have been in your list as its the best film ever!
#44 Edited by TwoOneFive (9459 posts) -

all three were excellent movies.

I say Titanic. It gets way too much hate. It was the most entertaining for me of the three. It had it all (action, effects, plot, acting, romance, etc.) and nailed it with near perfection.

#45 Posted by falling_fast (2224 posts) -

Gladiator stands head and shoulders above the rest

#46 Posted by HitmanAgent47 (8576 posts) -

Gladitator and braveheart is okay, overated, but titanic is better. Sure the first half is boring, but the second half, lots of ppl dies and stuff. Then again where is the blue ray cameron? Where is the blu ray?

its going to be one hell of a blu-ray for sure.

I'm gonna have to go with Braveheart....I liked it a little more than the other options.

#49 Posted by MisterZ (21 posts) -

Are you not entertained!?!

#50 Posted by Freezer_Burn (207 posts) -

I'd go with Braveheart, simply because I'm not super fond of either Gladiator, or Titanic.
