Id have to say that the worst city ive ever been in is miami... The security there is just fucking insane. apparently anyone who visits miami is either part of the mafia or is smuggling cocaine.
Living in the northeastern part of America, I can say I've visited a lot of shitty cities, and I have the privilege to live between two contenders, Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, PA. Scranton isn't so bad and could actually be a decent place to live at times... Wilkes-Barre is a dump that needs to be wiped out, preferably by flood.
However, my pick for "shithole of America" would go to Pittsburgh... the whole area is a fucking dump and almost impossible to navigate.

I've been to Bangor... it's not a bad place. Sure, there's not much to do and it's as pretty far away from civilization, but I found my experiences there to be good ones.

Well, I would also like to point out, as I have lived in Michigan and Pennsylvania, that Detroit is actually pretty cool, granted you are in the right part of town, though parts of Pennsylvania are hellholes. I lived near Scranton AND Wilkes Barre, and let me tell you, what a place of boring shit those were. Especially Scranton. As Joe Biden says, that is the biggest shithole this country has ever seen, and he is the only noteworthy thing to come from there. (Haha, not real Joe Biden; SNL one of course).

I lived in Phoenix for a year and 3 months.
And that was 2 years too long.
I absolutely hate that city. Green means stop and red means go. Apartments cost WAAAAAAY too much ($900 a month for an apartment at The Esplanade over on...9th and Camelback, I believe it was....while it was $1200 a month for a 2 bed at Jefferson on Central). Most of the work there is ass (tons of telemarketing places). The traffic is unbearably bad at ANY TIME of the week. Most importantly, though...the fucking city is not built for the heat it takes on.
My only salvation from that were the frequent trips to Tempe and Sedona. = D Love Sedona.
Best city I've been to? Brunswick, Georgia. Besides the smell of the pulp factory there, that city is fucking sweet!!!
I really haven't been to that many large city's but I'd say Cincinnati is pretty shitty. Nothing against the city or the people who reside there, it's just that every time I go there (usually to Bogarts for a concert) I get lost trying to leave. When leaving there after being at an amusement park, I got in a car wreck and messed my leg up pretty bad (I wasn't driving). I just have bad luck in Cincinnati.
Utrecht, Netherlands. Not to say that the people there are bad or anything, but driving in it is an absolute nightmare. The roads in that city make no sense whatsoever.
