i ask this cause I wanna know what my fellow gamers are listening to :D
I like really sugary pop-punk like Dude Ranch era Blink, the first two Simple Plan albums, New Found Glory, Bowling for Soup. I also like Eminem exclusively for rap music and some of the forefathers of punk like Bad Religion and Rancid. Garbage is amazing (not to mention Shirley Manson is hot), and I'm a sucker for punk cover songs especially 80s music (Me First and the Gimme Gimmes does an amazing Mandy as well as Uptown Girl).
Never been much for metal but I get a sweet spot for Disturbed or the random rock station song by bands I don't care enough to remember the name to.
Country music can suck an egg...I will not will not in the rain or in a tree not in the dark while you pee. I do not like it Sam I Am, I'd rather choke on Green Eggs and Ham.
Post hardcore is the genre that ends up cropping up a lot in the music I listen to. Thrice, Thursday, Underoath, Funeral for a Friend. Other genres aren't really as pronounced for me. Basically a mix of alternative music, stuff as light as Yellowcard or Biffy Clyro or as heavy as Brng me the Horizon. I play the piano and acoustic guitar so I listen to quite a bit of that, listening to new age piano right now, Einaudi.
" @DrPockets000 said:I know, I feel like a total cocksucker when I say I don't care for mainstream stuff." Alternative. I really like the stuff that gets adventurous. "Alternative/indie music is probably my favorite. Total hipster, I know. "
Then you get stuff like this.
Which just blows that other bad stuff out the water. But it might be that you don'thave good bass speakers or a decent bass sound in your headphones.
Still nowhere near as agood as
Eh, it switches between a few and their sub-genres, mostly Electronica (like Pendulum - Drum & Bass for example, but I'll listen to most electronica), and Symphonic/Power Metal (Nightwish, Sabaton), some Rock and occasionally rap.
As of right now, it's mostly been Drum & Bass (Pendulum).
Thrash Metal use to be what I primarily listened but over the past year or so I've definitely branched out into other stuff as well. I really like DnB, House, Dubstep or pretty much anything like that. I really like Pendulum.
The occasional J-pop/K-pop is nice too.
