If I'm going on the cheep, Old Crow.  But if I want something a little better,  I'll go with Makers,  Bullet or Jameson.  As for a Scotch..........  I do have a taste for Glenfiddich 18

I bought some awesome stuff in Scotland for a friend. We had some on a big "camping" trip, and the next day someone had stolen it. I don't remember what the whiskey was, but I continue to resent this person because that Whiskey was amazing.

I haven't tried a lot of whiskey but it is my poison. I prefer Jack Daniels over what I've had.

My favorite this far is Laphroaig 15-year old

Close second is Caol Ila 12-year old.

But when it's time to get "&%!faced, good old Jack (A metal heart is hard to tear apart) Daniels never fails :D

I can have fun with a Jack Daniels but I'm not a big whiskey drinker.

I know this is sudden, but here's some trivia about whisky, now that you've emptied your glass.

Do you know what the strongest distilled alcoholic beverage in the world is?

The strongest alcohol in the world... is spirytus, or rectified spirit, a vodka made in Poland.

It is distilled more than 60 times. It is... 190 proof!

But apparently, locals do not drink it. They use it to make homemade liqueuors, dipping fruits in it.

...And that was the trivia for tonight.

Jack Daniels Blue Label is the most expensive therefore the best whiskey I've had.

I'm not that big of a fan of whiskey, and especially not any kind of expert.....

Indeed it does suck to be me, but that doesn't change the fact that all hard alcohol sucks. To me anyway. It's all rancid stuff that I just can't stomach the smell of let alone actually tasting it.

In truth, I don't have a taste for whiskey, I'm more of a tequila man. But I see where you're coming from.

Lagavulin 16 years

Glenfiddich 18 years

Those puppies are my favorites

Knob Creek was pretty damn good the one time I was willing to swing the $35 price tag.  Otherwise I'm all for some Jack Daniels, Jim Beam (recently had their new Devil's Cut and it was delicious), Red Stag or Wild Turkey.  If I'm strapped for cash Evan Williams is the best thing I've had for under $15 hands down.

Too much of a whiskey noob to really comment, but in tough times I've always turned to Jack Daniels to help me through

Grey Goose is solid.

I'm no connoisseur, but Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select is pretty tasty.

Whisk(e)y snob mode on.

When talking about scotch/scotland, it is ALWAYS whisky. While the irish (and Maybe amerikanske too) it's whiskey. Please remember that difference if visiting either scotland or Ireland. Quite a difference in taste to, and No - amerikanske whiskey is no match for real whiskey/whisky.

Whisk(e)y snob mode off.

If in Ireland i prefer Green Spot or connamera.

If in scotland please bring me Springbank, Lagavulin, Ardberg, Oban or Ben Riach.

My usual favourite is the 12 year old Glenmorangie, but anything from Glenmorangie goes. Older the better of course. Also occasional Isle of Arran (local!) malt goes. Don't drink blends, but the cheaper stuff I emjoy is the average Bourbon's that you can get here. No supermarket brands though.
