Where were you Giant bomb ?
For some reason i went through a phase when i was 17 of taking photos of everything .
This photo was taken in 2007 when on the spot was actually good
Anyone else remember on the spot ?
" On The Spot feels like that cartoon you watched when you were a kid. It was so long ago, and have nothing but positive memories. "On The Bomb" "did you watch the wii unboxing ? i remember that episode the most
" On the Spot was the show to watch, High School was crazy, and all ice cream tasted like chocolate. That's 2007 for me. "dude even vanilla ?
I never watched it when Brad was on it. I think I watched it with a couple reeeeaaally uncomfortable people way, way back. That made me hate it so much that I never watched it again. Plus, I didn't really get into the whole video game commentary thing until I ran into Giant Bomb in 2008.
But where was I? Probably running around my town with the rest of the poor kids.
Dude! Rich Gallup throws his notes at the camera at the end of every episode and...
Seriously, I loved the old On the Spot and Hotspot. The latter of which is still decent, but not as good as it's old self, and the former is completely unwatchable.
I can't say that I do. Maybe that's because I didn't know about the fellas until about a year and a half ago
Yep, I remember it. Good show, until it suffered it's deaths. The first was when all the guys left Gamespot. Not only did On the Spot suffer, but the entire site lost it's personality. The next death was when they made "Today On the Spot," which I guess was designed to compete with stuff like X-Play.

(OK this is getting spammy. :P)
" This is strangely good timing to bring up the old Gamespot days, as I just created this:BUTTON MASHING!!! :D

Oh- how I miss that show in particular. :(
As for On the Spot- I didn't watch it too often.
I just watched the Wario Ware demo and as Jeff mentioned certain people drinking beer with pizza, I noticed that I myself am drinking beer with pizza.
Also yes, I watched the shit out of all of that stuff, seems so weird now.
I was never a part of the gamespot community, never went to the forums etc, and I didn't really listen to The Hotspot until the last few weeks before...that thing, but I watched Let's Gamespot every week and later On the Spot live as often as I could muster (started like 0:00 over here).
Good times.
Loved on the spot, also fun when they had tournaments, Ryan McDonald and his crazy love for Counter Strike, good times.
I remember Jeff's gta3 review in 2001 on gamespot thats how long i been around i seen pretty much everyone come and go.

yea, good times.. my first memory of gamespot was back in 1998 when i read the review for Ocarina of Time.. Jeff reviewed it and it was gamespot's first pefect 10.
Oh God, On The Spot was great! I remember watching new episodes every Friday (when One The Spot was airing, it was 2 AM where I live). Just all that raw, goofy, live fun was so entertaining. And now it is a very small shadow of what it used to. It is not live. It is heavenly edited. And all the people who made it great are gone. In some way I fell sad for those people whose On The Spot experience is called Today On The Spot. It's a good thing there are all those recordings, but they are just a remainders of how awesome GameSpot used to be. Just that much more makes me exited for Whiskey Media live live show.
I say button ... :D" This is strangely good timing to bring up the old Gamespot days, as I just created this:

for some reason, i went to gamespot last week and checked out the Hotspot archives (I'm surprised every single one is still up there). I would download all the old ones and try to find the ones where Jeff would yell GAMESPPPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWTTTT DAWT CAWM at the end. I wish he did that here :P
