Which iPhones have you owned or own now?
I owned an iphone 4 for for 2 years, and just recently sold it on ebay. The phone was awesome for a long time, but I decided I don't need a smartphone. Now I'm planning on getting a tablet (nexus 7) and a basic phone. Better than burying your ass in a 2 year contract with data fees. Where I live, there's wifi almost everywhere, so data really isn't necessary.
I have a 4. It's not really as good as it used to be, and the camera has a weird spot in it now that I can't get rid of, which is annoying.
I am rocking a 4 but this will be my last Apple product for some time. Not overly impressed with it, especially since the last update that has pretty much killed my 3G access. Feels like I'm on 56k again when Im browsing.
4 and 4S but then I switched to the Galaxy Nexus once my 4S took a shit. When upgrade time came around I told my mom to get herself an iPhone 5 and playing around with that solidified my decision in getting an HTC One. I'm glad the hardware finally caught up on Android that it can almost flawlessly run the OS without hitches.
I have a 4 that's well over 2 years old, but it's still in good shape. If I ever upgrade though, I'll lose my unlimited data plan, so I'm going to try to make it last as long as I can. Every once in a while I come across an app that requires a 4s or better though. Also I have a speaker dock and car fm transmitter that use the old 30 pin connector.
I've had the iPhone 3G for about three years then I switched to Android. Now my iPhone has become my go-to music player.
5 is it. Before that I had an HTC Evo Android, and I liked it, but I wanted it to run the same programs as my ipad. So I got the 5, which I like, but I sort of feel like a traitor.
advertisers and corporations work very hard to get that kind of brand loyalty out of a consumer. Don't feel like a traitor, buy what works best for YOU.
I had a 3GS from launch up until about a fortnight ago. Now I have a Galaxy S4. It took me quite a bit to get used to but now it is far, far better than my old 3GS.
Still, I don't know why people often argue so much about phone companies.
I don't even have a smart phone. I bought an ipod touch to sort of test the waters, see how much I like their interface and hardware, maybe consider upgrading to an iphone since most people say that's the best one. I was pretty unsatisfied, felt like their interface was less intuitive then it could have been, thought there were some obvious things that should be implemented and weren't. Plus the screen cracked so easily, and it's basically designed to be almost impossible to fix on your own. Across the board it seemed like they went for sexiness over functionality. ...I'll probably get one some day.
My first iphone was the ATT iphone 4 16gb black and its still the one I use. Apple hasn't given me a compelling reason to upgrade. The screen still looks great and the battery life decent. I've had to replace the glass back since it cracked but other than that its as good as new. None of the new stuff looks particularly interesting either. Maybe if they launched a low cost pre-paid option I would switch, but only maybe.
The iPhone 5 that I have now is the only iPhone I've owned. I love it.
I concur
3G, 4S and a 5.
I only upgraded to a 5 for the 64gb. I think it will be a long time before I get a new one.
4s, that's it.
Maybe looking at the theoretical 5s, but my phone runs well enough as it is. Only thing I have an issue with is being stuck on Sprint 3G which kinda blows
I had a 3GS and switched to Android once it became better than iOS. (Gingerbread onwards)
and I just sold my iPad to switch to a new Nexus 7. I can't take using iOS anymore, 7 doesn't improve enough as I was running the beta of that; notifications still suck, and so does having no widgets.
some of you have very strong opinions on this type of thing.
i have iOS on my iphone 4 and i have a lenova android tablet and find both are really pretty great. both have pro's and con's. but i do enjoy using both.
i've never been a binary kind of its either amazing!! or shit! kind of guy. i don't really get it.
I'm still using an iPhone 4, but I'm waiting for a Nexus 4 delivery. I don't want to use an iDevice ever again, since iTunes wiped mine twice for no reason (the backup broke (twice)). It was great otherwise, but I can't trust a phone that has betrayed me so.
