Which would you rather rule? (Question of the Day 8-15-10)

A small town. Less chance of a hostile takeover for when all of my hackneyed legislative experimenting goes to shit (complete legalization of drugs and one of them 1GB/s google internet connections. What are the implications? WHoOoOo KnOOoOoows????)

An empire, obviously. I could probably do it if I decided to invade Earth.

A mighty empire! I would wait in anticipation for the days hordes of enemies armies were marching to my doors! Ohhhh my sword would be soaked in their blood and my wizards would be trampling illusions of elephants all over them, they would be driven insane I tell ya! Heh, and I'd steal myself a busty bride too!

I wouldn't want to accept the responsibility of a ruler of either a small town or a mighty empire. 

I voted Mighty Empire, because I'm an idiot.

Why would you rule one small town when you can rule hundreds of small towns.

Because it makes me feel more egotistical.

Small Town, I like small communities, which I just so happen to rule.

Small town. No one's going to try and usurp that, unlike an empire. 

Small town, then expand it into an empire.

Every time I see a movie or show about some guy ruling a small town, some "drifter" wanders in a fucks it up for them.  I say, rule an Empire.  Less of a chance of one guy spoiling the fun.

I'd like to rule a mighty empire so that I could dress up like Darth Vader. I'd probably end up being like Dark Helmet though.

It'd be simpler to run a small town.

Not only would ruling/running a small town be simpler, but I'd prefer having the closer relationships with my citizens than you'd get with a powerful empire. Also, I think you would be safer in a small town with people that are more likely to agree with you than in a mighty empire where people are likely to rise up and oppose you in large numbers.

Neither, but forced to make a choice, I'd take the empire. Either way, I'll have the same number of people whining at me, either individual citizens or the officials that represent them. The only real difference is that at the empire level, my decisions might actually matter. Life's short, and I'd like to make a difference.

An Empire. I'd repress my people and crush dissent to keep myself in power 

An empire. I'd swiftly abdicate and move to another country, taking with me enough money to last the rest of my life.

A small, happy little town.

I would go with small town. A mighty empire would be just too much work.
