Techcrunch's Michael Arrington recently posted a short but interesting article on Whiskey Media.

ComicVine originally launched in late 2006 as a PHP application, but was ported to the new platform last April and now sees over 10 million monthly pageviews. The newer sites, GiantBomb and AnimeVice, have 10 million and 800,000 monthly page views each. Most users are male, in the 13-30 demographic.
Great to see Whiskey Media and the network getting this sort of exposure!

Nice to see the sites getting more coverage. The most interesting things were "More sites are coming this year on that platform." which is good to hear and "funded the company to date with less than $1.5 million" which sounds like a shockingly large number when you first think about it, but when you think about it in more detail, thinking of all the costs involved in running such a business, it doesn't sound THAT large.

10 million to 800,000. Quite a contrast, isn't it? All kidding aside, all Whiskey Media sites are like brethren to us. They are all impressive and I respect them. Good find.
