Who else would go for a last.fm-like page for video games?

I recently started using seenth.at for movies and have been using last.fm for a while now. Anybody else that would love a website that you can use with your friends, where you keep track of what each of you has played and makes you recommendations, so you can discover unknown new games? I know Steam has some of that functionality but theres tons of stuff I play on Xbox and PS3, that makes me wish a page like that existed.

I would pay for this service. This sounds awesome!

Raptr kind of does that. It keeps track of what you play at least and is a social network.

I have wanted this for a long time. I use last.fm and goodreads.com.

EDIT: wow I had no idea about raptr, thank you for this nugget

For some reason, I read that as "turntable.fm", and I imagined a site where people line up to do live Let's Plays. Now I'm frightened.

Yeah, I would dig that. Someone else mentioned that Raptr sort of does that, but it also sort of sucks and I don't care for it. Something a little nice to use would be great.

Xfire used to keep track of your play time for different games, but I'm not even sure that service even exist anymore. Not sure if it made recommendations. Also, I'm fairly sure it was exclusive to PC.

You could use Backloggery like that, though that isn't really its main function. I'd use a site like that though. It sounds pretty interesting.

I wouldn't, I really dislike those services. They always require too much management and organization, and to what end? It's just a big list of stuff you consume. If anything they make me feel bad for how much money I spend on entertainment. Also there's like a million services, so no guarantees your friends will ever use the same one as you.

They always just feel like a waste of time, I'd rather be talking about or consuming that entertainment, not tediously arranging it.

honestly I don't think there's enough video games for this to work well.

Well, that would be Xfire.com.
