Who in your opinion are real gangsters??

In my opinion, real gangsters are the mafia.

Not the bloods, or the crips, but the mafia.

Who do you think are real gangsters??
People who wear baggy clothes and speak strange, or people who dress in suits and have tons of money?

I'd consider both to be "gangsters".

What kind of mafia are we talking about here? What's left of the Italian mafia--La Costa Nostra--is pretty much a joke. However, the Russian, Chinese, and Japanese mafias are serious business. Yeah, I'd say those guys are true gangsters.

In terms of actually being worth being feared,or respected though,obviously Mafia's have it down. But no one nails it like the 1930's gangsters did.

I really hate when I hear every fucking rapper in the entire world(at some point at least) basically rapping about in some song,or acting like they're a badass and can actually do shit. Its completely laughable and just hilarious,they would get fucking murdered in a half a second to a real gangster.

Well, since they are both in gangs they are both considered gangsters. However, the Mafia does seem much more professional and effective than urban street gangs.

Real gangsters are those who really are part of a gang. I guess Bloods and Crips would be but they're split into so many groups, even high school kids these days consider themselves Bloods or Crips, which doesn't count. The Mafia is really as real as it gets. There are so many Families all over the world. And these gangsta ass rappers you see on MTV and shit, they're fakes.

Technically anyone is a gangster if theyre in a gang, but yea i would say the Mafia are probably the real ones.

Real "gangsters" today don't need to show their power, or dress themselves in thousand dollar suits. What you've all seen on TV and in the movies is a caricature, an exaggeration of a cliche.

Mafia are the original gangsters while the bloodz and cripz are the new age of gangsters.

The true gangsters were the original ones, the men who smuggled alcohol during prohibition and we're incredibly wealthy. The ones the actually had people working for them and people and businesses fearing. Anyone can wear baggy pants, speak in slang and get some tattoes, it takes a real man to be a real gangster

The Mafia are high class gangsters, on the other hand I consider anyone in an "organized crime" a gangster like the Irish Mob, the Mexican Mafia, Yakuza, they're the gangsters who should be REALLY feared not that Crips vs Bloods shit

Anybody in a gang is a gangster by definition, right?
But the meaning has changed. When you call somebody a gangster it's obvious that they aren't really in a gang. It's just a trend.

Mafia are the original gangsters but all those gangs: Bloods, Crips, Nortengos, and MS 13, I'd consider them real gangsters.
