Why is OT filled with blog post?

Now I just started posting here again but when giant bomb was first created it wasn't full of blog post. But why is OT full of blog post rather than actual thread of discussion? If it is a new feature, who else agrees its kind of a bad idea. There is barely any actual threads on the first page. Is it usually like it this or is it just because everything is going nutts over Watchmen?

Blogging should be separate from forums.

also how the hell do you link a blog post with OT anyway?

If you don't want to see blogs on the forums, check into your preferences.  You'll see the option to link blogs after you post your next one.
