Not sure if I wanted to be honest. I already have been a moderator and admin at a different site. It really isn't all that it is cracked up to be. Although I wonder sometimes if it was the fact that I was dealing with a staff that sucked. The nature of the forums was very competitive. Politics was a very important issue there for gameplay purposes and it seemed to be brought to the moderator forums and admin forums, both which where exclusive from the public. I joined because I thought the moderators and admins were doing a horrible job. People also got very emotional and eventually quit the team because it got stressful in two months. Either that, or made a bad mistake with someone who had power flux issues. However, the forums were used for gameplay purposes. Disrupting the gameplay is a big no no.
Also to mention for laughs and giggles, we had a Russian Communist on our staff. The majority of the stafff members were Americans. Oh the fun we had.
Also, I feel I could be a decent mod, but Giant Bomb's forum wouldn't be much better off for it. The mods here already do well enough without extra support.
If I were a mod I would not be online enough to regulate things. Also, if I were a mod, I'd probably not draw the line enough when dealing with trolls etc. I guess I'm too laissez-faire even though this is not economics (you know what I mean).
