I wouldn't. I think all class reunions are just a popularity contest basically. If those people wanted to see me, they could look me up online and ask to hang out.
Would you ever go to a high school class reunion?
Possibly but I wouldn't make it an annual thing like my school has tried to. It's fun to see what people have gone on to do in life.
I haven't been to any of them yet though.
Mine is coming up and I've got to see if some of my old friends I've been keeping up with are going. It all depends on if they're going or not.
High school for me was 4 years I blurred from my life where the best memories were at home playing Dreamcast. Therefore, my high school class reunion would be me playing my Dreamcast.
Anybody else is just names and faces. I hardly knew them then and even less so now. The beauty about getting out of high school is all the broadened horizons opening up. Rarely, if ever, do people attend high school reunions for the genuine appreciation of the event. I remember in high school having notions of "oh I'll go to the reunion and be somebody then be all the rage when I do."
Then I grew up and realized who fucking cares about them? Nobody. It's usually a sad gathering of people who can't let go. So, no. I wouldn't go.
My five year reunion was a few years ago. I went and it was fun. The fact that I'm still good friends with the president of our senior class (who organized it) probably contributed to that. All the cool nerds were there and very few jerks showed up. It was great, though a little depressing when I realized that at least three girls I had crushes on and one I dated had gotten married. Those ungrateful bitches should've saved themselves for me! My aloof awkwardness proved my interest! Etcetera.
I had the opportunity a couple of years ago and passed. I have nothing to say to any of those people. Anyone I was close with back then wouldn't bother with such a gathering, so that just leave the ones I only vaguely knew and I have no desire to talk about business and family with that type of acquaintance.
Maybe if it were to ever happen. Most of the dicks in my year during secondary school graduadually left over the years. By sixth form pretty much everyone was cool with one another, and at this point most people have eachother on facebook. I don't foresee a great need for one of these things for the moment at any rate.
I did go for an indian with some old primary school duders a year or so ago. It was pretty low key, but was fun. I was trying to get one of mates to come along, but he didn't want to go.
I think I may have been the only person in my year level who was totally fine with just leaving. Everyone was hugging and shit, and I just said goodbye to a few people and left, I didn't really care. I still hang out with my friends from high school, and will probably go to the one year reunion, but can't see myself going back after that.
i might. it's coming up next year. it all depends if i receive an invitation and if i'm able to go. my work schedule is crazy and very random.
i would go the people that don't go probably didn't have the best times in high school, people change. the person that you hated 10 years ago, could now be a real nice person.
Definately, though I went to secondary school, not 'high school'. It was an all boys school so it didn't really have a big popularity contest vibe that other schools seem to have. I thoroughly enjoyed school and our graduation night was some of the best fun I've ever had. Everyone just got on and if you didn't get on with someone then you just didn't interact with them. There was never any bullying/social outcasting that exists in alot of schools
I skipped my 5, 10, and 15 year reunions. I'm considering going to my 20th, but it really depends on when it is scheduled as I have to travel. I don't do Facebook or other bullshit social networking sites so I might go to try to reconnect with those few people from high school I cared about and lost touch with when I went away to college.
Fuck no, all of the people I care about from school I'm in touch with. going to a reunion would just remind me of all of the people I hated.
" I really have no desire to go to a class reunion. The only reason I would go is to see how many of the jackholes I had to deal with couldn't attend due to incarceration. "that and they'd probably stick your head in the toilet and flush. that or an atomic wedgie.
No. I had the opportunity to go to one but just threw the rvsp in the trash. I still talk to 2 people from my HS class but the others I couldn't give less of a shit about their lives or careers.
