Xbox 360 broken again.

Yes, my Xbox 360 has broken again, it got the dreaded three red lights yesterday, while I was playing Fallout 3. The game had froze three times then when it froze a fourth time and I restarted the console later on, the red ring of death flashed and I knew that I was screwed. Anyway I rung up Microsoft Customer Support gave the apprpriate details and what not, printed out the package label they sent me via email. Finally I arranged a collection with UPS for tomorrow. The annoying part about this is that the last time my 360 went bye-bye, so to speak. Microsoft put a new motherboard in the 360 which has broken now and that was about 1 year and 3 months, so is that the average life expectancy of a newly installed motherboard?

It's not like I haven't been careful with the position of my console, it is laid horizontal with about 10-12 inches of breathing space from the wall of my bedroom, I make sure the area around the 360 is as dust free as possible, so you know what else could I have done? This is the FOURTH XBOX 360 THAT HAS HAD A PROBLEM OF SOME SORT. I'm not angry in that last sentence, I'm just mystified as to why Microsoft released this console with so many problems.

Summer is not kind to 360's. It seems that every year when Summer rolls around you start seeing more and more of these topics, and this summer is starting out no different. I've seen quite a few topics like this pop up recently.

I am on my 3rd also, had this one for almost 2 years now and I think its time is slowly coming to an end.

I'm on my second. The disk tray gears tore themselves apart on my first one about a year and a half ago, before they changed the 360s.

That's the thing I hate about 360s, bad life expectancy.

When my warranty ran out on my 360 I installed some whisper max fans. Hopefully that will prolong its life.

I got my 360 locked up in my closet waiting for Mass Effect 2. This way i know it wont die on my before i play the only game i want to play on it.  Plus there ain't shit for 360 this year so i dont care lol
