Yo GiantBombers with drivers licenses, need tips

I don't have mine yet, but I think it's common sense to say that every test is different. Just don't drive like a dick. Good luck.

Written is just common sense... for the actual driving test is easy unless you get a jackass that tests you.. they'll look for small mistakes and fail you if you get too much... I got a cool one so it was okay but some of my friends had to retake it because of lame dude.

It was really easy, don't stress. The reason why most people fail is just because they're so nervous - there's definitely no reason for it though.

sigh....I have my permit but I won't be able to drive till next year

My advice is to just practice, practice, and practice.

yeah, im looking at some online practice tests before i go to bed. the fucking test is at 8 in the morning. i havent gotten up that early during the whole summer

If you know how to drive then no problem....

Written is pretty easy. I never even read the whole book.

Don't worry about it. The written test is simple and the driving test is easy if you have a cool person evaluating you.

Don't hit any curbs, cover your brake in any uncontrolled intersections, make sure you come to a complete stop at all stop signs, always do the speed limit.

I never drove before my driving test and managed to pass.  You should do fine if you have some wits about you.

The written was very easy, the road was fine and I had a few inspectors.... only one was a complete tool.....

Shoulder check for every turn. Left or right, don't rely on mirrors. At least where I live, that was an auto-fail if you didn't oblige.

Watch for trick stop signs. Most testing routes around my area have at least one intersection (a lot of times like IMMEDIATELY after you start driving) with a tricky or hard to see stop sign.

As long as you aren't a teenage girl you'll probably pass. I still get the heevee jibees when I think of the females in my behind the wheel driving class.

Stay on the road. Avoid pedestrians.

Just make sure you know what you're doing.  Every state has it's own laws, so it's hard to be specific.  Oh, and try to be sure you can parallel park. 

I past the written with like almost a perfect score, with just about 30 minutes of looking over the book.  The driving part, just don't get nervous, follow the speed limit, and you'll be fine.

just think common sense in the written part....everythin else should be fine........

just remember to tell people that if they dont like the way you drive then stay off the footpath...got me through alot of hard times

I passed mine with ease. You should be fine.

I wouldn't worry about it.  It  is WAY too  easy to get and KEEP a license these days.  I  know, I sound really old saying that, but there a lot of really, really bad drivers out there. 

It was easy as hell, and my instructor was awesome.

Main thing you need to know: GO SLOW!!!!! maintain 5 miles under the speed limit at all times. i failed my first time because i went 3 miles over on a road with no speed limit signs. they automatically failed me.

Another thing is to over exaggerate your head checks so they know you are doing them.

Oh and study the manual pretty well so you can pass the written.

You will fail and everyone in the DMV will point and laugh at your misfortune.

Bribe them and you will get 1-2 years in jail and 25,000 fine so dont do that I read that sign in the DMV and laughed. Imagine a guy a prison what are you in for bribing a driving instructor. But since is after your test how did it go?

It was an alright experience, just don't run over any grandma's or small dogs.....so you are just a kid eh

As long as you keep cool, it´ll be alright. When people start freaking out, they get all tight behind the wheel and start making mistakes...and since you stiffen up you can´t control the clutch well and it becomes a rather unsatisfying experience. Yet, study the rules, signs, manual etc...I found the theorical part of the test much harder than the actual driving...

Drive below 25mph

Keep both hands on the wheel

Use the 3 second rule when looking both ways

Stay on the right side of the road unless you have to turn left or change lanes, and follow instructions carefully. Don't always assume you have to do something.

It's pretty easy, just don't be a complete moron while driving, check sides always, use the mirrors, and you should do fine.
