Nice!
Anyway, a part of me wants to say Hospice by the Antlers, but I'm going to go with Daft Punk's Discovery. That album was my Fantasia.

I have just never been a music person. Never cared for the art of it, don't care about the celebrity personalities behind it, and I have always found music boring to just sit and listen to. Outside of a couple recent discoveries I have also never been able to find a group/artist that had more than 2-3 songs that I liked. Combine all that with needing to pay $20+ for an album that, at best, only has 1-2 songs on it that I actually like was unthinkable to me.
For me music has never been anything more than background noise.
My musical tastes are always changing and evolving, but for the last long while I'd have to say that either Kid A by Radiohead or Happy Songs for Happy People by Mogwai.

Right now? Pinkerton by Weezer. They deserve all the hate they've gotten for the last ten years, but for a short time in 1996, Weezer was making some of the best music of the nineties. Seriously forget everything you know about Weezer and give this one a listen. It's an absolutely great guitar album.

I know this may sound pretentious. But my favorite album of all time is Neutral Milk Hotels: In The Aeroplane Over The Sea. That album is just so raw and personal, and it always pulls me in.
A lot of people love that album, I need to check it out.
Hey now! HandsomeDead may be lame, but he's far from dull!@HandsomeDead said:

Congratulations on being the dullest person on this entire site.
I could never take your crown.

@bartok: nirvana is one of the best bands of all time and one of the few instances of a great band being embraced by millions of people

Pinkerton is also one of my all-time favorites. Definitely Weezer's best.
I'd have to say that 'Going For The One' by Yes is my all-time favorite album. Right now, though, my current favorite is 'The Courage of Others' by Midlake.

Why? Just started work doing network tech support for an ISP that covers all the major US ISP providers for businesses.

Your favourite album of all time?
My Favourite Album Is... [What's Yours?]
Anyway, my favorite pop music album is The Allman Brothers Band - Live at the Filmore East. For jazz, it's Dizzy Gillespie - Afro.
In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, probably.
If we're talking at this very moment in time, probably The Year of Hibernation, by Youth Lagoon.
My favourite album is Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. I get all teary eyed every time I listen to it. No other album has that effect on me.
