Love the alternative Ico and Shadow of Colossus HD Collection boxart.
Your favorite BOXART(S?)
I love all the old Psygnosis Box art. It made the games look so much more fantastical and amazing than they actually were. I remember getting so excited each time I saw a new game - the boxes offered so much promise.
This Kotaku link and this blog have some really good examples...check them out.
EDIT:Looking into it one of the main artists Roger Dean used to do lots of Rock album covers in the 70's. Makes a lot of sense.

Mine is....... Ninja Gaiden. I'm sure you all know what it looks like so do I really have to post a picture?
Yes you lazy fuck... nah just kidding, but not completely though. You create a thread about boxart and then you don't even want to post one single picture? Come on duder, if you don't even want to put a little effort into to this topic then why should I?
Edit: Also I can't believe no has mentioned this little beauty already:
Someone already posted the Katamari Damacy art, but I love that, and won't repeat it here. I've always been enamored with the boxart for the first Resistance game. There's some nice work in the logo with the subtle city landscape, and the simple image of the chimera skull with the army helmet gets a lot across without being too complicated.
I also love the boxart for Muramusa; it's gorgeous and has a great color palette.
Also, the boxart that was created for the physical PC release of Super Meat Boy is pretty great. It reminds me a lot of the old Mega Man boxart, in that...let's say, it's not entirely accurate.
Borderlands 2 is pretty fantastic as a boxart 'sequel' to the Borderlands 1 boxart.
Pitchford said in an interview that they considered just naming it Borderlands 3 for the fuck of it. Too bad that fell through.
@Dany said:Actually fun fact. I read a cool article in gameinformer about different game covers in different regions. For the U.S they mentioned that the main character is usually clearly shown and never prominently had the villain on it where as a Japan cover tended to go for a more subtle moody cover and maybe even place the villain right on it (ala re4 cover difference). Hence the difference where Shepard is clearly fully shown in the us box and Japan's where both Shepard and saren are equally shownThat is so incredible, why couldn't t the American Boxart be this."
If only in america "

This right here. Killer7 itself is so fucking cool, probably the favorite from Suda51.
Here are some others I like just off the top of my head.
This boxart is boss. THough I've always had a fondness towards the Super mario RPG boxart.@Eric_Buck: Concidering that you started the topic yea you should have posted the cover.

So much better than the US version. Do you know where I can find the raw art from the cover? That picture is awesome.
Also, this thread needs more Designers Republic.
