Your favorite thing(s) about Giant Bomb?

As I promised to someone on the internet, here's a feel-good topic on the usually kitchen floor-stained forums.

The question is simple: what is your thing (or things) about Giant Bomb?

Please refrain from sarcasm.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to tell mine. I suppose it's the random acts of kindness and awesomeness that are displayed every once in a while here. I still distinctly remember the time I was gifted my membership by a Vager, when Giant Bomb decided to use YouTube (I live in China). It is always darkest before dawn, huh?

The great quality of all the topics posted and the responses that actually pertain to the subject matter of the OP instead of simply posting after reading the title of the thread.

The people that work at Giant Bomb, especially Dave and Vinny.

The tone of the site is what drew me in, so I guess that. Whenever I see a Quick Look or some other form of content it's always seemed light-hearted whilst remaining professional enough to be taken seriously.

The plebs.

Honestly, it's the quick looks. The reviews I don't bother with. The website design is convoluted and the community on neogaf is better.

So to answer the qeastion, the quick looks. I'm pretty sure that will be the answer for everyone. If they had more pc reviews I might be more interested in other content. But for the most part this website is basically just like IGN, gametrailers, gamespot and other websites only interested in console gaming. Very sad really. Pc gaming is great, doesn't get the respect it deserves. This being a kind of cool dude indie type website for supposed "real gamers" I would have at least expected that. The only time I see them touch pc games is niche ones usually to mock them.

It used to be the bombcast before Patrick but now it's probably the forums.

Dude, I'm probably a lot more PC hardcore than you are and I don't care about their lack of PC focus in terms of reviews. On the other hand they actually do a lot of PC game content and it's not that they mock PC gaming, they often mock their inability to play complex simulators or esoteric games and yet they also show and often discuss how much they enjoy playing on PC (Vinny and Jeff especially, let alone Drew and Dave) while Brad is a hardcore SC2 player. This isn't a PC focused site like RPS (and oh what a circlejerk that place can be at times too) so you have to take the PC stuff where you can get it here. I agree a few more PC reviews would be good but otherwise I don't think it's lacking all that much.

No, I really am. I've been gaming on x86 PCs since 1984 when I had a PC XT with twin 5.25" FDDs and a Monochrome green screen (which I upgraded via an NEC V20 10mhz! CPU). I've owned every Sound Blaster and every GUS (Gravis Ultrasound) and I even owned a fully working retro IBM JX a few years back too. I game pretty much solely on PC and have done for a while now - my 360 was sold as was my Wii. Any reason why you're being so rude mate? Chill.

In the "Least favorite" thing it's the community and "community" is part of my most favorite too.

At least a 9. Some people have better steam stats but I also have a socail life to manage irl. So that get an extra 1. Technically it's cheating.

Quick looks of games I'm interested in, and when they talk about games that I'm interested in on the Podcast. I think the Giantbomb crew seem like pretty cool people, and have been following what they do ever since the earliest years of GameSpot. I think it was 2004 that I really took notice of them though. I'm mostly interested in the game part though.

The Giant Bomb crew are a really cool group of guys and can be really generous, I love anything they do really, videos, bombcast and just being crazy and random.

On point, the personalities, I'd pretty much watch/listen to Jeff make jokes about anything, complimented with Ryan they make a great back and forth pair. Quicklooks, the bombcast, Jar time, Live Streams and random Vinny and Dave vids. How can I say, all of it?

Navarro news and making lists mostly. The forums are fun to browse and quick looks can be a good time too.

Anyway, positivity. I came for the podcast, but I stay for the personalities. Fun.

Long Form videos with people who are boss. Every one on the crew has an interesting preference to games. When they talk/write about them it sounds like my friends and I waxing about games. Oh and @Jeff is one of the greatest personality's of our time!

Brad. All of them really, even lil' Tricky, and their awesome crazy shenanigans.

One of the main things I love about Giant Bomb is their attitude at events especially during interviews. On some other gaming sites when they are interviewing people they are so awkward I actually can't watch them. The Giant Bomb guys are really casual and just come across as cool dudes, instead of really awkward, unprofessional nerds or trying too hard to be funny.

Other than that pretty much what everyone else says, quick looks, the bomb cast and even Patrick has grown on me, sort of.

I've been coming to Giant Bomb every day since February of 2009. On the other hand, I've only been coming to the forums since about a week ago. I'm not sure that these forums will ever get under my skin as I can't imagine ever getting back into forums with the same level of interest that I had with the old Elder Scrolls Forums in 2005-2007. It's nothing against you guys. I'm sure you're great, but the inherent oddness of forums (at least, as far as I see it) will undoubtedly keep me from becoming too much of a regular here.
 
To that end, I come to Giant Bomb because I enjoy watching and listening to the GB crew. I've listened to them for so many hundreds of hours at this point that it's always a little comforting whenever some new piece of content goes up. I don't mean that in any creepy way. I think what I mean to say is that Giant Bomb has sort of become absorbed and integrated into my daily routine. I'm always either watching videos when I'm taking a break from working, listening to the Bombcast during my commute, checking out Wiki pages whenever something interests me, etc.

Video content and personalities. Easily.

Claiming positivity is hypocritical when nurturing hate. Especially for someone giving an honest opinion in regards to the topic at hand.

In all honesty, these comments just make me look better than I (already) am. I would recommend being more mature in the future.
