You're washing your hands in a public restroom, and you're speaking to another person who's doing the same. As you speak to them, how do you make eye contact?

Just curious as to how many other people look at people's reflections in this situation. I used to have a roommate who was really freaked out whenever I'd try having a conversation to him while looking in a mirror. I suppose that I never really understood why. XD

I don't speak to people.

First I would need to ask myself why I am in such a disgusting place.

Both, switching between the two almost in appreciation of the fact we're talking to a mirror I will turn to them to reestablish i am actually right next to him.

I switch between the two, but mostly I look directly at whoever I'm talking to.

I look at my reflection while talking to them

I don't really talk to people at the sink, but I think I would periodically glance at them.

C.  I don't look at them at all and communicate that I'm listening with body language (nodding my head, tilting my head to the side slightly now and then while keeping my eyes on my hands, etc.) and words of acknowledgement whenever they're speaking.  Eye contact may be forgone for a period if you're preoccupied with something that requires / that you prefer to give your attention.

I don't talk to ppl in the bathroom, like ever. If they did talk to me, i'll be like what you want to fight?

I don't speak to people while I'm in a washroom. It just seems weird.

when i speak, its not usually much, and If i look at them, its at them, but not in their eyes unless i know them.

Bathroom Rule #6 Section C Paragraph 1 specifically states no man shall make contact with another man in the bathroom even if said man's life is in danger.

I'm probably concentrating on my hands, and not making eye contact.  If I do, and am facing the mirror, I will probably look at their reflection. Otherwise, I will look at them.

In the weird case that such a thing would happen, I'd make direct eye contact. It's only polite.

I don't mind talking to people in the bathroom at all. Even while pissing at the urinal.  The way I see it, if he wants to look at my junk, great.  If not, then great.  I know I'm straight and don't want to look at his junk so that is all that really matters.

I look straight into their eyes, run my hands down my chest to my fly and say, "Thanks", as I proceed to zip.

Hell. I don't even look at people when I talk. I usually look around or at the ground. Maybe I am just weird like that.

Trick Question. When in public restrooms, NEVER speak to anyone for any reason short of "Oh my, you're on fire" or "Is that a zombie?"
 
In fact in general I don't speak to strangers. I find that 99% of the strangers I end up speaking with are homeless, beggars or salespeople.

I normally don't talk to people in a public restroom. It's bad enough that I'm in one.

I always make eye contact and don't break it, I don't even blink. Oblivion style.

I stare directly at their crotch while slowly licking my lips.

I spin my eyes to confuse them and then make my escape.
