Lost deffinatly has one of the best opening scenes in any televison show. The pilot was amazing, whre Jack wakes up in the middle of the jungle and runs to the beach to find the plane crash. If you didn't know it was Lost you would probubly think it was a movie. All of the season openings for that show are fantastic because you don't immidently know whats going on for like the first five minitues or so.

I have to agree with Invader Zim, it comes instantly to mind. I also think that Metalocalypse has a great intro
Back on the subject of piracy, just a personal observation that always bugged me. I never thought piracy was cool, regardless of parrots or eye patches or peg legs. They're just criminals on boats. Rapists, murderers, thieves. What's so great about that? Sorry, just putting it out there.

On a side note, The Incredible Hulk from the 70s had the best closing.
