Billy Mays seems like a man with a great sense of humor, a good family, and he had a job where he was good at what he did. As much as we liked to make fun of him, isn't this the model of the American Dream? He started out pitching things on the Atlantic Boardwalk, then working Carnivals, to being a TV Infomercial celebrity with his own show, well off with plenty of money. He stayed relatively level headed through the whole thing too. He could joke about himself, he knew what he was doing was ridiculous, but it worked, he was good at it, and lived a great life. Billy Mays went before his time, but everyone has their time, and his was now. Here's to a hard working American who lived the dream we all dream of! Billy Mays...

Here's a strange coincidence. My cousin was on that plane yesterday during the landing and saw Billy Mays. I don't think she's gonna forget that flight... it was her first plane ride, she saw one of the best pitchmen ever, gets the scare of her life, and gets interviewed by the local news.

So there's my weird connection with Billy Mays.
