The new look is okay but seriously I cant go back to gamespot. They really lost their best reviews (jeff, ryan and dave), their site looks like a huge ad and I cant even listen to their podcast ....

Anyway, yeah, my thoughts exactly. It's the staff that imbue any site with spirit, Gamespot has very little these days, this in turn is just cosmetic. Still, it is welcome improvement, I say that as a user of both sites. I am definitely main-ing on this baby though.

Giant Bomb Rulz! :P

I'm done with Gamespot. I'm not suggesting the Gamespot staff are bad people they just don't appeal to me.
Some people like to talk smack about Gamespot and it's users but I really think we should move on and focus on what we can contribute here.

Doesn't phase me too much as I don't visit GameSpot much anymore out of preference.

But I must begrudgingly admit it's a very slick looking website and their design team definitely knows what they're doing. Especially compared to the eyestrain that is IGN. 1UP is getting better but both seem to have the tendency of throwing a lot of redundant looking blocks of text at the user.

Doesn't really look any different, same basic layout, same box positions, same content in each box Only thing that's different is the colour scheme and the box titles. Pathetic.

Gamespot can make the best looking site on the net, it's still not going to help the negative press they recieved from the whole farcicle, jeff incident, that caused this great site to even exist in the first plae.

Why concern yourself with GS? If you don't like the site don't visit it. FYI they've had those plans longer than GB launched.

I don't really like it that much. Everything I liked having displayed on my profile (reviews, emblems, blogs, etc.) are now mostly hidden and the site feels harder to navigate.

It's a shame the redesign is only by cosmetics. When I first heard of the redesign, I thought they were adding new features, or at least fixing some of their numerous glitches. Nope...I just get my damn reviews hidden. Lovely.

it is looking familiar to GB but i have said before it is just a easy on the eyes modern website. im not planning leaving gamespot (despite its annoying new staff members) and will continue to use GB as well

T'is a shame that stuff is all hidden now but via live feeds you will know when someone has added a review, not that it's enough of course. Some of your friends might miss it and be none the wiser.
