I really liked this film. Christian Bale and Johnny Depp really carry the movie, especially Depp. This is finally a Johnny Depp movie that I really liked and want to see again. The performances were solid, and the movie moves along at a good pace. Anyone looking for well-made and smart movie, go see it!

i really want to see it though.

though i could care less for Bale anymore.

i watched an interview with him about this movie, they asked him if he got to know depp well between shooting scenes. his reply was like "i dont talk to anyone between scenes, so the answer is NO!"

Well, I'm still a fan of his, though he does seem to take acting TOO seriously. This is more Johnny Depp's movie than Bale's, and I was totally fine with that. He did a great job.

I have not seen it. So don't know if this is in the movie. But Dillinger robbed a bank about 10 or so miles from where I live. So that interests me about him. I want to see it though.

It's really solid, a little too much shaky cam it was giving me a headache. Maybe because the shots were all too close to the subjects, or because I hadn't slept in like 36 hours. But yeah, great movie.

shaky cam never bothered me ever. i guess it only bothers people who fixate on it for some reason.

like people bitched about the lense glare in Star Trek, but i thought it looked awesome and never fucked up the scenes like some people thought it did.

@Bruce: He plays a normal guy here, and he doesn't do a lot of crazy screaming or anything like that. It's a very controlled performance. It's definitely not bad at all.

People always overhype Johnny Depp. I think he does a great job in the film because he makes an almost mythical figure seem like a real and vulnerable person.

It's ok at best.... there's certainly some scenes that are absolutely incredible(Shootout in the woods is classic)

but I'm just kinda let down by the performaces... Depp and Bale both do amazing at what their given, but theres no real spark in either of the characters

Marion Cotillard as Billy steals the movie, she should have been in more scenes

It was a mediocre movie to me. I honestly think it could have been cut down 1 hour shorter. As it stands the film is approximately 2 and a half hours with a lot of time wasted. Not enough action, not a satisfying climax, and overall just a "at least I saw it during matinee price" movie.

Its not out where I live yet, not sure when its coming out maybe next Thursday. But this is a movie I am definately looking forward to seeing as the trailkers look great.

I saw it last night and thought it was really good. The only thing that bothered me was the movie was shot in HD. It made the shakiness of the camera a lot more distracting.
