I'm 19, and I'm a virgin, and I'm happy. The way I look at it, there are 2 ways of having sex:

Get into a serious relationship.
Take advantage of a drunk woman.

I don't feel I'm mature enough to get involved in a serious relationship, and It's completely wrong to take advantage of women. So, I'm stuck being a virgin for now. And I don't see it as a problem. And if I can get through puberty, with hormones raging, without having sex, then this is easy.

And I'm not ashamed of it at all. I'm fine with it, and if other people aren't fine with it, then more fool them!!!!

What WOULD be bad, is if he was repressing his sexuality (and I don't mean like, his orientation or anything specific) because sexuality is a part of who you are. It isn't a bad thing, as long as you don't abuse it, as long as it isn't purely carnal. One night stands with people you can't stand outside of the bedroom is bad, but having lots of passion in a good relationship is no better or worse then not having any passion because of a lack of interest. Eventually, he will find someone that he will lust for, and when that happens, passion will likely insue.

Its just common sense. Or atleast it should be.

Its kind of like being gay. There isn't anything wrong with it.If you are, you are, just be as you are, do what you feel is right and what feels comfortable. If you are an extremely passionate person, thats great. and most people who are very passionate recognize that sex is no where near the only way to express and share passion. Just tell the twats cracking jokes at his expense to knock it off. At least he had some self control, unlike most people under the age of 25.

Well, people make fun of me because I don't drink and I'm a virgin. I've been told by not drinking and being a virgin makes me less of a man. I've been called gay and everything else in the book. As far as I'm concerned, I don't really care what people think of me, and I ignore them when they start to insult me like this. People either accept me for what I do or don't is the way I feel about it. Your "friend" might want to take that into consideration from my example of what I have been through.
