My Mario 3D Model
I just updated an old 3D model of Mario I made before. Here's the result:
Cheers! :)
That's really good, but something about the proportions of his limbs seem a little off. He looks a little too realistic, I think. Maybe try making his legs a touch shorter and his hands a bit beefier [wow, GB's spellcheck is saying that "beefier" is a word (but apparently "spellcheck" is not)]. His head looks spot-on.
" That's the denim-iest denim I have ever seen on a Mario. I really like it. "Same here, but I think it needs to be bluer. It's just too gray to be Mario.
Looks fantastic, great lighting and to me it looks better than the real mario they use now. It's nice to see textures too on his clothes and I think the proportions makes him look even more next gen.
" Looks like he has longer and skinnier limbs then he should. Otherwise, great job! "I would agree ... but other than that great work and great texture.
" Too much overall texture. The Mario model is all about simplicity, basic colors and shapes. "He wasn't imitating the original Mario model. It's his own attempt and there is no harm in trying something different.
@Jan:
Fantastic modeling my friend, I believe you're the same guy who created the PSP2 model? Keep it up :D.
Great job, bro. I really hope that Nintendo takes notice of your Mario model...you could have a great future in game/character design possibly.
I made a little running animation for him. It's actually a bit faster than what the gif shows, but here it is anyway. :)
