Most people's (including Christians') perceptions of hell are warped. Hell isn't a place with fire and brimstone and demons with pitchforks. The actual definition of hell (or the Catholic one at least) is the state in which your soul has been separated from God. So technically, when you goes to hell, God doesn't actually send you anywhere; you yourself move away (not referring to you personally btw).

To OP:
You believing in the scientific facts you stated is just like me believing in Jesus/God/Holy Spirit. You are putting trust/faith that what these scientists have said is 100% fact, even though science is constantly being rewritten. Just think how much scientific 'facts' have changed over just the past 100 years. Where do you think scientific facts will be 10,000 years from now? You have faith that humans have it all figured out already. I'm not bashing on you or science (I believe God is the science), I'm just saying you are in a similar position to me. I am putting faith/trust into the fact that God is real, even though without faith, I'm not sure if He is real or not. I believe that most of God is incomprehensible to humans, that is why we aren't saying "Ooh! Right there! There is God!"

This is really hard for me to put into words, but I hope you understand at least a bit of what I'm trying to get at.

But Catholics don't actually care what the Bible say, so their perception of hell doesn't count.

Meh, there's no hell, and if there was, then just because you didn't believe in God, you wouldn't go there.
Also: if you don't believe in it, there's no reason to get offended at it. It's kind of like someone saying that I'll be eaten by a kraken some day.

I personally don't want to discuss religious questions so im just gonna say im a catholic.not a hardcore.OK im catholic only paper because i don't go to church i believe in god but not in the church and there people saying your going to hell and whatnot the only thing different between me and you is im catholic lol and i beleive you recreate or some shit when you die,also religion is just something people made up so they have who to blame.

Check out the pineal gland and DMT. That is what the soul is. When you die a huge dose of DMT shoots into your brain from your pineal, this is what causes you to experience the afterlife. It takes maybe a second for this to happen but in your perception it can last thousands of years, maybe even an eternity.
