Yesterday I (partially) watched Wall.E and Pathology. Both of those movies were fucking terrible. Well Wall.E was Ok for the first part of it but lost me about half way in and I couldnt finish it. Pathology on the other hand just sucked front to back and I only got through it by fast forwarding through the portions without dialogue. I usually dont have trouble sitting through movies I dont like so I dont know what was going on yesterday but I wouldnt recomend either.

Pathology *
Wall.E **

I loved the cheesy slow motion, I love the memorable quotes, I love the Scottish poetic ascents and overall direction.

The mythological symbolism throughout the movie would make anyone who liked  Greek ancient religions happy, perfectly portrayed, especially the scene in the cave with his father, where they talked about eternal sin.

Fuck all the hollywood critics that tagged this unwatchable, fucking crying shame how some people could actually tag this a no star, it is simply amazing.

EDIT: also, this is a must HAVE blueray, it is one of the best looking out there, proably second the the dark knight.

In the end, when it's over, all that matters is what you've done.

Hadn't seen it for quite a while.  Still holds up as a good movie for me.

Yes Man, utter crap, made you feel as if nothing had happened except that he had met a girl, she liked him, then she hated him briefly, then she liked him the same amount and he "learned" what he knew already which was to take things in moderation. It was kind of like saying, girls don't like people who are deceiving and you should have 1 cup of coffee not 5.

Yeah.  I liked Burn After Reading, and I really enjoy the Coens' style of filmmaking, but Burn After Reading didn't sit well.

Speaking of the Coens, the last film I watched was The Big Lebowski.

It was the original Spiderman, not nearly as good as it was when I was 12. I watched the second one afterwards, and that oe is as good as I remember, but the first just doesn't hold up.

Set in Dublin Ireland, this is the story of a singer songwriter. Release 23 March 2007

My windows internet explorer will not let me do titles and I'm too lazy to learn Firefox.

Video

"When Your Mind's Made Up". This song reminded me of GiantBomb.

(Note: they edited A LOT out of this trailer, i mean, some of the lines clint has, notably the one with the priest, seem like they re-filmed it just for the trailer). its difficult to tell what this movie is like because they tone it down so much for this.
I agree. An absolutely brilliant film even if it is all held up by Eastwood. None of the Korean kids could act at all. Also, best line: 'A jew, a mexican and a coloured fella go into a bar and the barman looks up and says 'Get the fuck out of my bar!'"
they weren't that bad, just a little awkward, which always seemed appropriate, because it was all kinds of awkward lol. imagine watching an old dude chump a few thugs, and then get lectured by him? but seriously though yeah the boy wasn't the best, but i thought the girl was pretty good. i mean, they're above and beyond the majority of the kids hollywood comes up with year after year.
its definitely worth noting Eastwood totally holds up the film, because it centers on his character. he is one of the most underrated ACTORS (his director skills are in no need of attention) out there. i hope they nominate him for best actor. almost nobody else his age could have played the role convincingly, let a lone direct themselves doing it at the same time.

Well the last Movie I watch was The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
If I had wanted to watch Forrest Gump again, I would have saved myself 8 dollars, and watched it at home. I mean this movie was very similar to Forrest Gump in almost every way, even plot to some point. Which is sort of to be expected, considering the same guy wrote both. Another thing that bothered the shit out of me was how they constantly flashed back to the hospital and kept talking about hurricane Katrina, when it did nothing to advance the plot, it just broke up the movie and destroyed the flow. Overall though it is worth renting if you have 3 hours to kill, and don't already own Forrest Gump.
Three stars I guess?

Last movie I saw was Valkyrie(actually spelled Walkyrie in German),I highly recommend it if you are a WW2 history buff like I am,because it is almost dead center on most aspects of the real life events that the movie is based on(minus the dramatization of Hollywood of course) All in all,

4/5

I was going to go see Defiance tonight but my friend never called,i tried to reach him for 2 hours but nothing.

Erm, what?

Winston Groom wrote Forrest Gump.  Benjamin Button is based on the short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Unless you're talking about the scripts.  You probably are.

Whats with the assholes on this site mocking the person who doesnt like Wall.E. Anyway I went to see Gran Torino after work this afternoon and I really enjoyed it and its the best movie I have been to see at the cinema in a while. But considering the movies I have been to see lately with my family thats not really saying much. I want to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button but its not screening at times that fit my work roster.

Anyway I reckon its about a **** or more.

"He was a druggy and he shouldn't be getting so much praise"

"Burn all drug users!, burn all one time drug users at the stake also!"

You clearly don't seem to have any idea how many artists and actors throughout the ages have been consistent drug users. So what if he did drugs?, it has no bearing on his acting ability. His films are also geared to mature adults and never children.

I bet you have not even seen the film, so how then can you say his performance is not worthy of praise?

----------------------

I can see that I need to watch Gran Torino. I recently watched Clint Eastwood's war films, Flags Of Our Fathers and Letters From Iwojima. While good from directorial standpoint I did not find the stories as moving and as thought provoking as I thought they would be. I thought both were average and that both films could have been far better devised.

Going down market here.
I saw Yes Man today.  Nearly didn't, as we had to evacuate the theatre when the fire alarm went off.

Yes Man is a Jim Carrey film, so you know what you are in for when you go.  I personally find him annoying, but we had some tickets that expire soon and had to use them.  It was my kids choice.

That being said, it wasn't bad.  Jim is still annoying, the way he overacts, but it was funny enough.  More a video watch movie though to be honest.  A sex scene with a toothless old woman may cause me to seek therapy though (eeeewwwwwww)

One big upside though - the soundtrack is awesome.  It is mostly The Eels and they have always been great.

Rating: **1/2 out of 5.
