Hook: My favorite movie ever. I re-watched it again today. So good. If you can handle the kiddy-ness. 5/5 if you can, 3/5 if not.

Pusher (1996)
9/10

A very serious foreign crime film. No wiseguys or drive-by's in this one.
"Frank is a drug pusher on the roll, until he makes a huge deal with dope that he hasn't payed for, and he gets busted by the police..."

Surprisingly, Pusher 2 (2004) and Pusher 3 (2005) are both excellent as well. The director didn't fluke the first one, he does it differently then we're used to, and it's mad engaging and up close with the characters. These films are very hardcore though so be warned.

I watched it for the first time and it was epic. Thematically it's somewhere between Godfather and Blow. Great soundtrack as well (Rolling Stones, Cream and lots of others).

It lacked anything resembling originality in its plot or characters, the motif's were decent but the entirety of the film was like watching an unintentional spoof of similar films. No, I won't post a video, because the trailer may intrigue you to watch it...

Speed Racer: Amazing cinematography and spectacular race scenes. The movie starts with a bang, very emotional, but it goes thru a very large chunk of absolute boredom before the next race starts, and it's all awesome from there. If it wasn't for that HUGE chunk of nothingness, it would have been a 5/5. But I give it a 3/5.
