I was sufficiently entertained throughout.

Year One is much much worse.

Rolling Stone called it the worst movie of the decade?  Please, that is over-reaction.

Just because something is lower-than-expectations doesn't make it horrible.      There are much worse movies released THIS YEAR than Transformers (Dance Flick?)

Yeah, twas entertaining.

Agreed. I got what I paid for when I saw it.

The worst movie ever is Bio-Dome according to Metacritic.

I'm a Transformers fan, so maybe I'm a bit biased, but I was thoroughly entertained.
The movie only seemed to drag when the group reached Cairo, and it was a bit too long, but other than that, it was what I expected.

I was pleased with it as well.  I thought a particular fight sequence could have been longer and flashier, but to avoid spoiling anything I won't mention which one.  I would gladly recommend it to others.  I'm ready for the next one to be honest.

I knew there was a reason I didn't trust Metacritic.  How can someone hate a hilarious piece of awesomeness like Bio-Dome?

Also, worst movie of the DECADE?  Man, he must have missed this:

Hopefully, this won't invoke the backlash of the Biff community...

As someone who has never seen Bio-Dome, I support this ruling of "Worst Movie Ever"

@sidescroller:

Someone actually called it the worst movie of the decade?  That's ludicrous.  It's not even the worst movie of the month.  That person must not have seen that trainwreck Land of the Lost.

As someone else said, I might be a bit biased as a Transformers fan who liked the first film a lot, but I was quite pleased with Revenge of the Fallen (some HORRIBLE jokes aside).

If you expect to see more than huge robots fighting, you WILL be disappointed. But if you're into Optimus Prime jackin' other bots up, then you'll enjoy the movie, I'd say.

Here is that atrocious review. Worst movie of the decade? Not even close.

I liked it. I could nitpick all day but it wouldn't change the enjoyment I got out of it. Almost everything now is supposedly garbage because peoples movie expectations are sky high and go into every movie expecting a oscar winning drama.

I wasn't a huge fan.  I could enjoy the raucous battle scenes and ludicrous explosions, but the length was a little tiring and I feel like I'm done with getting enjoyment out of humour as lowbrow as that movie's was.

It's not the worst of the decade (Son of the Mask still has that spot), but the worst so far this year definitely.

These two didn't help the movie at all. Worst CG character since Jar Jar, which I thought was thoroughly impossible.

As for worst movie ever, no Transformers Revenge of the Fallen does not get the privilege of that claim. "Stupidest movie with ludicrous budget", perhaps would be a better title, and even then it still would have stiff competition.

But for worst movie ever, my pick will forever be:

...the horror...the horror....

Sorry, but Orci and Kurtzman are the worst writers in Hollywood right now.

I can't believe there is a worse movie than Star Trek, but it's by them as well, so it must be true.

This piece of shit isn't even worth downloading.

Of course its not the worst movie ever made. Any one who makes that claim has either seen about 10 movies or they are just trying to sound important. It is a bad movie though.

I seriously have never hated him as much as others have.  Apparently he's a racial stereotype, and for that, yes I can see the criticism.
Mudflap and Skids are by far worse, however.  Did I feel their prescense made the movie better?  No, in fact it kinda made it worse, but the movie is just so ludicrous overall, I eventually warmed up to them by the end.

Being 11 years old at the time, i didnt notice any sort of racial stereotyping at all... I just liked the guy cause he was loud and had funny ears... Yeah i wasn't very deep as a child.

Trust me Gunner: It was bad. Personally, I fall in the camp of just hate towards Jar Jar.

Which is why I was blown away from Mudflap and Skids. I knew something was bad when after I saw this film, I began questioning whether or not Jar Jar was as "bad as I thought". I then decided, to not lower my expectations and simply hate all three characters. No. That opinion of mine wont change.

Did I mention I don't like Jar Jar :P

There is quite a bit of fallout in regards to Mudflap and Skids and all roads seem to be pointing back to Michael Bay.
I know.
shock.

i liked it, but it dragged on a bit and they had a lot of stupid shit like when sams mom gets high and those two little annoying transformers. The action was way better though, optimus prime kicked ass.

It was bad, but I'm not going to jump on the "Worst Ever" bandwagon, if only because the first film wasn't that good. The original Transformers was what it was--two hours of greasy, good looking people and large explosions--and the second didn't have great expectations to match. Only problem is that, this time, it took itself too seriously and tried too hard to be the "epic" sequel. Now the films are self-aware--Revenge of the Fallen knows it is part of a franchise, whereas the first felt desperate and needed only to be entertaining.

I didn't believe that there were this many people on the internet who didn't hate the movie so much and didn't feel like demeaning it to justify themselves!  It's kind of refreshing!
I thought it could do without all the toilet humor, or at least a good chunk of it, but even though I thought it was long, I didn't realize how long until I got in the car afterwards and look at the clock.  And Skidz and Mudflap didn't totally offend me (I didn't like how they said they didn't read, but I don't see it as being "blissfully illiterate" as someone else said.)  It was a summer popcorn flick created for escapist entertainment, and I feel that it at least accomplished that goal, even if it slipped a bit with being epic and funny, and I liked the nods to the original cartoon.
