2 hours and 30 minutes was way too long. To be honest I didnt watch the last 40 minutes it just got way too boring.
Even the robot fights get boring after the 2nd or 3rd one. I mean they looked cool but I just couldnt get into the movie at all.

I get why people like it though lots of explosions and the action is great. I actually really expected to like this movie but it just wasnt interesting at all.
I found it terrible but not even close to the worst movie of the decade.
Growing up I was a Beast Wars Kid anyway :)

" The worst movie ever is Bio-Dome according to Metacritic. "
I knew there was a reason I didn't trust Metacritic.  How can someone hate a hilarious piece of awesomeness like Bio-Dome?

Also, worst movie of the DECADE?  Man, he must have missed this:

Hopefully, this won't invoke the backlash of the Biff community...

As awful as that movie (and many others) were, you just can't beat the horror of straight to DVD movies and student movies, and some of the stuff people are subjected to at film festivals. Worst hollywood blockbuster sure, but worst movie? Hell no, there are many many layers of hell beneath Catwoman my friend, that's only the first level of bad.

I'm really not sure what the fuck people were expecting. It's a big budget action flick about a war between intergalactic transforming robots. I personally didn't find Mudflap or Skids offensive. Too ridiculous to be offensive really. I think for those who felt insulted and/or offended seemed to apply their own insecurities in them. I just hope they can deliver with Unicron.

I'm glad to see so many people agree with me as to how dissapointing this movie was. Besides the racial stereotype of Mudflap and Skids, I was also bored to do by the constant use of Megan Fox's sex appeal to keep the audience engaged (half the explosions consisted of her running in slow motion with her boobs bouncing) which made Michael Bay look pretty desperate in trying to sell this movie to people. Also the fact that they threw in almost every transformer from the series in one movie made it look more like they were advertising the toyline than showing a movie. Not to mention that 20 robots fighting each other in  one scene made everything practically unreconizable. You could slam two garbage bags full of scrap metal together, have your friend video tape it, and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between that and the fight scenes in transformers.

So  yea, all in all, very dissapointing, but not the worst movie ever. To those that haven't seen it yet, you can still enjoy it... just make sure that you have 2.5 hours to kill and very low expectations, and you'll be fine.

I'm sorry, but you thought this had the potential of becoming a masterpiece?

You sir, came into the movie with the wrong expectations.

@ChopperDave47: OK. I'm going to spell this out for you as easily as I can:

Transformers is a licensed movie. As in, a movie based on an existing license. Licensed movies can be quite enjoyable. Hell, they can even get high ratings from critics (Iron Man, Dark Knight). But they will never, never be masterpieces.

Don't get me wrong, Dark Knight was brilliant, but you do realize the strength of the term "masterpiece", correct? Citizen Kane is a masterpiece. Dark Knight is a surprisingly good comic book flick. Transformers 2 is popcorn entertainment, nothing more.

No, Transformers could never be a masterpiece. A great movie? Sure, with the right director. A masterpiece? No, sorry.
