I've always been the most intrigued with the Beatles and Nirvana's lyrical/songwriting style. So anyways, I think I'll go for the Beatles, with Nirvana coming at a close second. Then again, that's out of what I think should be the best out of your list.

Really, I think Pixies are the greatest band ever. You should agree as well.

It's more so the fact that all the artists on that poll, bar one or two is "I'm 13 years old and like nu-metal" music, or else entry level dad rock which little kids listen to; "Led Zeppelin 4 is awesome, and yeah, I love The Beatles, that song by them about submarines is awesome".

the.... formula of the options is fucked up since you got atleast 10 titanic metal bands not mentioned and you have crapper eaters like Paramore on the list..

i refuse to vote if musical genius is being ignored while 3 year old strumming bands are being mentioned.

I see your point, and I agree, that list lacks hardcore stuff, it's stuff stupid thirteen year-olds listen to and feel they are unique for listening to stuff that you don't listen to on the radio. But saying it like that is pure flamebait.

And bear in mind that Genesis is in that list, and they are (were) by no means, kiddy. Maybe after 1977 you can call them that, but before that they made intellectual, artistic, avant-garde, progressive rock that covered topics from the apocalypse to being killed and then reborn in a musical box.

FIRST OF ALL. Im a girl everyone!! And those are not my favorite bands, they are a random selection of bands. If u dont like them i totally understand. And if u think this poll is stupid thats okay too. There are so many great bands out there and WAY TOO MANY to list. So i did this out of my boredom. Go ahead and insult it, IDC. Just make ur choice, state an opinion, and we're good. Just dont argue with eachother. Everyone has their own opinions. :) I hate paramore.
